Feedback Please: Nautical Nonsense
My building time has taken some real hits lately between work and Jr, but I am plugging away on a few projects now. I am looking for some help in ideas for a custom merchant or two in Dawngleam. This merchant will service the docks which connect many of the Inner Sea ports and so I was looking at baldrics and bandannas. These would have some color and design options.
Likewise, any nautical objects (which would not be custom merchant objects, just sold by a regular merchant) you might want to see are welcome suggestions.
Thanks for any other suggestions you might offer.

Post them here or pm them to you?

Custom compasses would be fun. You get to put your birthstone in it or something. Custom frock coats would be nice too. They're like the nautical version of those popular pocketed long coats.

Sextants, compasses, and telescopes.
Tricorn hats, or sailor caps, would be another possible one to make custom.

Re: Feedback Please: Nautical Nonsense
I'd like a t-shirt that says "HELLO SAILOR" on it, please and thank you.
Also, eyepatches of different colours/gems (a la One-Eyed Willy), telescopes with different finishes (bronze, gold, silver). Shuffleboard might be fun but not very portable.

So here's a few ideas to throw out there:
-Customizable ship flags
-Astrolabe
-Hooks, for lost hands
-Peg legs
-Star charts
-Hardtack
-An oar (that is really a club)
-Quadrant
-Crosstaff
-Barrel of Water (Lots of water, but also very heavy)
-Harpoon

Some sort of rudimentary spy glass would be cool.

I have it on good authority that Oars are used as greatswords... ahem.
Customizeable eye patch - Stiched, nitted, cured, various colors, embroidable like the westgate kerchiefs for added personal flare.
Swordbelt that holds swords. For that daring captain who doesn't care about cutting his leg open on deck. Or bandolier that act like sheathes.
Hammock / hammocking material instead of bedroll

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
Re: Feedback Please: Nautical Nonsense
I kinda want a "two crossed bandoliers" item that either acts as a quiver or holds things like a normal container but much bigger. The bandolier item in game can't hold more than a four throwing knives.
Also, +1 support for a hammock.

Marlinspike as a dagger, maybe with a bit of sail line hanging from the 'hilt'

Wearable peg leg over layer item.

If they are still hardcoded in game (Not sure if they are)
Pea shooters and blowpipes used to be a weapon type until as late as 2005ish, not sure if they are still in the code.

a bifold hat or however the proper calling of them is! I love the idea of bandana's, waist coats/long vest, hook hand(dagger or brawling weapon), peg legs, varying nautical tools like others have said, casks of rum and mead, Justacorps for the fancier mariners out there! That's all I can think of off the top of my head! Thanks harro for this!

Weit in der Champagne im Mittsommergrün,
dort, wo zwischen Grabkreuzen Mohnblumen blühn,
da flüstern die Gräser und wiegen sich leicht
im Wind, der sanft über das Gräberfeld streicht.
