Myers-Briggs Personality Test for Characters

Post by Melusine » Thu Nov 12, 2015 8:49 pm

So I've always found the Myers-Briggs personality test pretty interesting, especially when you look through your individual type, and find answers to questions about yourself you didn't even know you had. I was bored one day, and started taking the test for my characters. It makes it more fun to answer each question as your character would, and see what they come up with. There's sixteen types total.

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

The two tests are a bit different, but I took each one with the same character in mind and got the same result, so they must work alright. Take a test! It's fun!

Anastacia ended up a ESTJ, which has the nickname of an 'Executive'. I'm not surprised! Most of my characters are extroverts, which is funny since I'm very strongly an introvert (INFP).

Harroghty is ENTJ (The Commander).

INTJ, "the architect," for Areia, and that is so very accurate.

Thanks for the post!

Woror is the DEBATER (ENTP-T). I'm not sure what that means. Help!

Pretty close. Probably the best online test I've ever personally taken,
thanks.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

Wonko came out as "The Debator," or an ENTP.

The other test has me as an INTP.

Seems fitting that the tests are conflicted when it comes to Daerin, somehow.

Sometimes people will have a strong preference for one thing or another, and sometimes people are closer to the middle, which can throw things off. It's exciting to see how many types are being posted! I love this test. And trying to guess what people will come out as.

Raihan the Ripper comes out as ESFP: The Entrepreneur. Spend moneys indeed.

Lirith is ENFP, Campaigner. It's pretty close to her when she's on a good day.

I re-did it with Flo in mind. ISFJ - the Defender. Some people are going to laugh if they read the descriptions for that one, it's right on the money.

Most of my characters probably only differ in one facet from myself- being INFJ myself. Caethos -could- be an INTJ. The rest are INFJ / ENFJ
This is the kind of thing that makes the Gods think we're fools.

Caethos- Half-Elf Red Knight Cleric
Ithaca- Wild Elf Warrior
Plathine- Human Pirate
Schezalle- Drow Executioner Rogue

Wow very interesting and thought provoking tests. I took both just as if I was "Zuldorrn"

ENTP on the first link.
Some things I find very true about Zuldorrn in the description;
--" ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. In general, however, they are genial, even charming, when not being harassed by life. "

ENTP on the second test as well, thought I found many of these question more relevant to my Character then the first.
Personality: ENTP ("The Debater")
Variant: Turbulent
Role: Analyst
Strategy: Social Engagement

"An odd juxtaposition arises with ENTPs, as they are uncompromisingly honest," Even though my character is unquestionably Evil, this statement from the results is very true for Zuldorrn.

Thanks very much for posting, I like hearing about the other characters types too, adds a layer of depth often forgotten on a Good---Evil axis.

P.S. got up the courage to answer as honestly as I could one of the tests from my own perspective, I am actually a decent guy whom happens to enjoy playing nuanced "Evil" characters in roleplay.
My personal results, no masks!
--Dominic, level 5 peasant laborer(snicker) **INFP**
Introvert(19%) iNtuitive(22%) Feeling(19%) Perceiving(66%)
I found it somewhat accurate, somewhat not for my own psyche. But it is a good guideline and would be interesting to have someone whom has known me a long time ready the results over for a different perspective.

Thanks again!

*Mungo, Outrider of the Hin*
