What would you play?
What would you play?
This could be a fun thread:
If you, as a real life person, had to choose a race, class, alignment, guild, and deity, how would you build yourself as an FK character, if it became your whole life and profession?

Human (LN) fighter / Knight or Dusk blade of the Judeo-christian holy trinity.
Strangely, I've always had a fondness for physical prowess and swordplay when it comes to realish history. I often hear people say how boring I am when I reveal my favourite weapons are the long and short swords, instead of katana or some exotic weapon, but back in the day. A man with a sword and the skill / will to use it could genuinely decide his own fate in some places.
Oh, and a Dusk blade 3.5 is basically a fighter wizard mix that does fun things like channel magic through his or her sword and such.
In contrast I find the tactical nature of full spellcasters far more fun to play in games. If A game ever made a pure martial class that had as many tactical options as a wizard. That would be great.

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

The first NPC to get murdered by the party.
A goblin, a trickster, a warrior? A nameless terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. A most feared being in all the cosmos. Nothing could stop, hold, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.

I think it would be cool to be able to cast spells in real life. I've always been this hard-headed skeptic when it comes to having conversations with Wiccan friends, but I keep to myself that I would totally be a true neutral mage or something.
Think of the irresistible dance you could cast at parties. Or, you know, Phantasmal Killer.

Good thing we're all got some weapon skills under our belts!

In Toril I think I would become a holy weapon of the Sharran faith. Toril is wracked with suffering and war neverending, and so it we be my duty as a good man to end this suffering and war. Shar has a plan that would end all suffering, and everything else to but hey no more suffering right lol

An Air Genasi Sorcerer (TN) of Odin. Shadow-walking is a need in RL, as is the occasional fireball or lightning bolt. Plus, I don't have to worry about memorizing spells or learning to meditate.

Re: What would you play?
It was stipulated that we had to pick FK characters, right?
Re: What would you play?
I was thinking that we would keep it in terms of FK classes, guilds, deities, etc. But people have gone outside of that, and that's fun too! Answer however you see fit.Anguin wrote:It was stipulated that we had to pick FK characters, right?
