Okay, i have a confession:
I'm a fiber addict.
Meaning I crochet, started to knit and weave and most importantly I spin.
There are fibers everywhere in my house. .even the shower (the finished yarn needs to dry somewhere! )
Tools are standing around and I really can't deny my addiction anymore.

YES! Now we need pictures of course.
Spinning is something that I really want to try, there's a yarn festival here in March and I will probably end up getting a drop spindle just to give it a go. I don't have any room for a whole wheel.

I have two drop spindles and will get a third spindle next year. Usually I always have one in my bag. You never know when you have the time to spin!

So here is one of my recent favorites: Drachennacht (translates as dragons' night)

I hope the picture shows up. All my yarn pictures are on ravelry so I don't know if those without an account can see it.
This is more of an art yarn. Really fluffy, thick and thin parts, not an even uniform yarn. I'm really happy with the result.

Besides. ..a wheel is decoration as well! There is always room for that!

Thank you!
It is really soft, too. Has a lot of silk in it.

So...you guys can come over and visit but I'm afraid your hooks can't touch the yarn ;)
I don't know what to make with it yet but it has to be awesome. .probably worn close to the skin

It would be a dream to actually make chump change off of crochet, for real.

You can do et! There's a lady at my current job making ear covers for headsets(call center work) and sells them for 2 bucks a pop. Almost everyone in the building has some at about 600 people in there at a time and the turn over is atrocious lol! I believe in your ability here Mele!

Thank you! I am very proud, I used to struggle with amigurumi but I have improved on the whole a ton at crochet this year. I also made this one, from a gorgeous and expensive wool blend skein:

Bonus: My son immediately claimed it "No, this is Niko's Roly!"

I'm seeing a lot of craft-work here, so I feel this would be a good place to ask. My fiance tried crocheting, but she felt like she was doing the same thing the entire time, and got bored. Is there any of these craft things anyone would recommend that keeps your attention, or is just fun to do? Thanks!

Cooking&pickling&preserving :D

I've taken to preserving and pickling things, making jellies and marmalades and dips and spreads.
It's so rewarding because there is always something to nibble away at and sandwiches will never
be boring again! You just got to be patient and let stuff sit around for a bit, salted lemons for
at least 4 weeks, pickled cucumbers for at least 3 and cauliflower for at least 2. And iranian
pickled garlic is said to be at its best at an age of 7 years ;)

Cheers.
