An Exploration of the Old School of Wonder

Post by Areia » Mon Mar 14, 2016 5:12 am

Areia of the church of Lord kelemvor invites all friends and allies with interest to join in a group to explore the depths of the old school. Whether you seek treasure, great battles, or simply adventure with friends, you are welcome to join if you have the skill and are no enemy of Areia or the church in general.

We shall meet at the gardens just north and west of Waterdeep's market center, and from there move to the school.

Be warned: This expedition is not for the inexperienced, nor for the easily frightened. We shall face foes with power beyond most mortal reckoning. Only very seasoned adventurers should gather on this occasion.

Furthermore, we shall require a complete and balanced group if we shall have a chance to survive. I ask those seeking to join to note their name and role below. If a sufficient party cannot be formed, the adventure will be held off for another time. We're hoping to gather, at minimum, at least two warriors (preferably paladins or fighters) to take the brunt of the enemies' attacks, multiple healers, a wizard or two apart from Areia to help with stone skins and damage, and at least one rogue to help search for and deal with any traps and locked doors we might encounter, as well as to scout ahead should the need arise.

OOC: Because I'm always worried I didn't do something right with the time site, we're set to start at 12:00 PM EST on Saturday, 19 March. This is not necessarily when we'll actually be heading in, so it's alright if you're a bit early or late. Also, if this time isn't best for multiple people, it can be moved some, though do note the event Nearraba posted, to start at 7:00 PM EST, so we want to give enough time so that people can make it to that if they wish.

I invision this delve taking some 3 or 4 hours possibly.

i can fill Wizard or fighter roles. if I have the time in the next few days to fix and test my healer sounds on the soundpack I should be able to fill that role as well.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

Well, considering I will not let you delve there without me, I of course will be there.

Andreas is a maybe.

I might be busy with my child at that time but I'll try to arrange to attend. However, I don't think I can stay the full three hours and definitely not four hours.

Would you rather my wizard or fighter come?

It's looking like we might or might not have any tanks at the moment, so the latter might end up being the better. But, whichever is more fun for you. :D

Poor jack. Pirate rangers aren't tanks apparently.

I'll bring my fighter as well. Whats more fun for me is cohesive group dynamics

Aramil would be interested, sadly the time is not really good for me. Albeit early at 5pm, my wakeup call is at 3.30am.

lol. Sometimes I need to really think before my brain goes "Hey, rangers are warriors, too!" I blame all the pretty nature magic and unimposing looking leather/light chain armor.

Even if we do manage to clear out the entire area today, we can always set up another some time! Areia's always interested to get a close look at those demons. :D

Heading out shortly, everyone. See you there!
