Re: Necromage
First, I commend the tenacity to tackle such an abstract and difficult character concept. Second, remember that during this time all these acts would be considered socially taboo. Second, there are zombie minions in the game that are outside of the necromancer's guild, these must be found IC of course, but truly I wish you the best of luck on this journey. A true villain is truly horrifying and be careful about becoming public enemy #1, they usually get hunt down.

Re: Necromage
Talona would be another option, and Velsharoon, perhaps even Shar.

Tami, as for your inquiries into patrons/gear/minions, there is a large base of evil characters in the game, and all of those are IC questions, so... I'd go ahead and ask ICly!

Velshy is doing hard time in an extra-dimensional prison after failing to gank Kelemvor.
A goblin, a trickster, a warrior? A nameless terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. A most feared being in all the cosmos. Nothing could stop, hold, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.

Orcus
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Re: Necromage
Necromancers are among the least likely to seek a patron. They're more likely to deal with demonlords like Orcus because usually. Being evil means being self interested most of all.
If you are interested. Try seeking out FR sources that focus on the red wizards of Thay and their equivalent to high wizard of necromancy. I think he'd make the best example.

I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
