Spontaneous RP event - Judging a Necromancer

Post by Jethral » Thu Nov 10, 2016 10:09 pm

((Note: the log on this was incredibly long, and English was not all the players first language, the logs were edited for OOC, spelling/punctuation, and my very redundant commands that keep my fingers busy. The content or intent of anything said or done in-character was not changed.))

Jethral's first experience meeting a necromancer (that he knows) and the judging of the man at the hands of the Defender Lustria.
A path in the plains

Later, in the Tower...

An alchemical laboratory
E-A marble stairc

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf is standing here.
An animated corpse of a kobold warrior struggles with the horror of its undeath.

Lystianna walks in from the east.

You sigh.

Lystianna looks at A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf.

You stop using a black handled dagger.
You sheath a black handled dagger in a concealed palm sheath.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf looks interested.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf looks at Lystianna.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf looks at you.

Jethral looks at A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'You've been making the undead.'.

Lystianna peers at you.

Lystianna looks at A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf.

Lystianna says 'That's not a nice thing to say to someone you've just met.'

You point at him. ((OOC note: him was the animated corpse))

Lystianna Hmmmms...

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf replies calmly 'I thought I would be more interesting than the this animated corpse...'.

You ask A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'Do you deny it?'

You tell Lustria 'There is a necromancer in Feebov's mansion. I may be attacked.'
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf says to you "No, but you immediately took interest in it.'

You hear the sound of footsteps from the east.
Saoirse walks in from the east.
Saoirse walks east.
You hear the sound of footsteps from the east.

Lystianna peers intently about the area.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf asks 'More of you?'
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf smiles.

Jethral peers down to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf with a grimace.

Lustria replies to you 'I will be there momentarily.'

You tell Lustria 'Corretion. I'm likely to be attacked.'

Lystianna rests the tip of her sword on the ground, looking uneasy.

Jethral draws his blades, 'There are more coming. You can come quietly.'.

You get a serrated bastard sword with a straight hilt and a lobed pommel from a stitched leather scabbard.
You wield a serrated bastard sword with a straight hilt and a lobed pommel in your right hand.
You feel proficient with a serrated bastard sword with a straight hilt and a lobed pommel.

You get a white bastard sword with a saw-edge from a leather-wrapped scabbard.
You dual wield a white bastard sword with a saw-edge in your left hand, which is your offhand.
You feel proficient with a white bastard sword with a saw-edge.
A white bastard sword with a saw-edge feels nice and light to you.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf says 'About your question - the answer is yes. But this is far from the most interesting aspect about this tower'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf flips up a golden coin, 'Not sure if you came across one of these here'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf gets a golden coin with a mouse symbol from a cloth pack.

Jethral narrows his eyes.

Lystianna just tries to stay out of the way for the moment.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf stretches an open palm with the coin, holds it for a while and takes it back.

Someone flies in from the east.
Lustria descends and lands.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf looks at Lustria.

Lustria looks at A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf sighs loudly.

Jethral looks over to Lystianna, 'You will go find that page that ran from here.'.
You invite Lustria to join your group.
Lustria accepts your invitation and joins your group.
Lustria now follows you.

Lystianna asks you 'Page? The fair haired lass?'

You nod at her.

Lystianna stops following you.

Lustria sets the butt of her spear to the ground and looks down on A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf.

You say to Lustria 'I found one undead outside the mansion, then I met him here, with this abomination. I have already asked him to come quietly.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf sighs again 'You do not have to be afraid nor have any prejudice against this *abomination* - it is under control'.

You hear the sound of footsteps from the east.

Lystianna tells you 'I've done a sweep of the house ruins. The only thing here besides us is a lot of bodies.'

You say to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'That is defying the dead, and I'm sure you've not done this foul practice with only kobolds.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf laughs politely 'Where could you have this knowledge from, since you just met me for the first time, huh?'.

You tell Lystianna 'Go to the horses, and stay there. This battle is beyond you.'

Lustria simply states to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'The raising of the dead is a crime against all the goodly people of the land. I will now proceed to disassemble your creation. Resistance will be met with force.'.

You say to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'When I asked if you are denying that you made that creature, you said no.'

Lustria begins to chant.
Lustria utters the words, 'jioculoahpg zhzfiar yaz'.
You feel safe from undead attacks as Lustria completes her spell.
A ward against undead attacks suddenly glows around Lustria.
Lustria attempts to take control of The animated corpse of a kobold warrior but fails.
Lustria strikes a glancing blow off The animated corpse of a kobold warrior!
The evil that animates The animated corpse of a kobold warrior flees as Lustria's faith crashes over it!
The animated corpse of a kobold warrior is DESTROYED!
You hear The animated corpse of a kobold warrior's death cry.
Lustria gets 4 silver coins from the corpse of The animated corpse of a kobold warrior.
Lustria splits 4 silver coins. Your share is 2 coins.
Lustria gets a copper coin from the corpse of The animated corpse of a kobold warrior.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf laughs again.
You hear the soft sounds of kobolds wandering around.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf smiles to Lustria 'And that is called stealing'.

Lustria levels her spear at A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'Feel free to dispute your erroneous claim. You won't find satisfaction in doing so however, that much I can guarantee.'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf leans forward to Lustria 'You are a stubborn one. But do as you please. There is plenty of kobolds bones lying around here. And I am sure, you are here to add some more corpses to the current lot.'.

The spilled blood slowly seeps into the ground.

Lustria tilts her head, 'You admit to the intent to raise more?'.

Jethral takes a few heavy breaths, defering to Lustria.

The divine protection against undead attacks fades.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf sighs loudly, 'Same story with this one...' points nods to you, 'I have said nothing.'.

Jethral mutters, 'Your wording is as foolish as raising the dead.'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf takes his belongings and prepares to leave, having some sweat on forehead from (presumably) a fever, 'I leave you to whatever action you intent. I have more important matters to tend to.' , pauses for a while looking around and then gives last looks at both of you and says drily 'Goodbye'.

Lustria keeps her spear leveled, seeming comfortable in the stance, 'I see. I'm afraid your demeanor is at best suspicious. I'll require you accompany me to a jail for proper trial. Will you come peacefully?'.

Jethral blocks the exit.
You say 'Answer her question.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf stops abruptly at the words, completely amazed!
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf turns to you 'Is this your usual action to accuse someone, when you meet one for the first time?'.

Jethral mutters in anger, 'I have a witness to you saying it was under control. The evidence here is strong enough.'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods and replies 'Of course. That I said. But...'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf continues '...I meant it in such a way, that it will not do any harm to any of you'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf adds '... or to the witness.'.

Lustria rolls her shoulder, 'If you come peacefully, there will be less trouble for you overall.'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf turns to Lustria 'Now, about your question...'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf gives a smile 'I completely support reasoning by logic and therefore a trial, if it is really needed, is by far the most logical way to finish this matter. I do however see some objections' , wipes his sweat from the forehead.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf goes on 'Firstly, it takes time and I have to get cured myself and have other matters to attend to. And secondly...'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf continues 'It is of great importance to make sure that unbiased people, or judges, are on this court, and of that I am not sure, that you can grant'.

You hear the soft sounds of kobolds wandering around.

Jethral mutters into his amulet quietly.

You tell Lystianna 'Did you leave the area?'

Lystianna replies to you 'Nope. I'm by the horses.'

You reply to Lystianna 'Please stay until we leave.'

Lystianna replies to you 'Of course.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf keeps on speaking 'And therefore I see it, at the moment, most fit, just to let me go. Do you agree?'.

Lystianna replies to you 'Did you capture that na’er do well necromancer?'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf turns to Lustria 'So, what is you answer?'.

Lustria explains to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'In this situation I will inform you that I will be the final judge as to your guilt. And that I wish to conduct trial outside the kobold infested area since I don't believe a kobold infested area to serve as a proper court. and I judge you too dangerous to be transported to a major city that lies hundreds of miles hence."

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf Hmmmms...

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf replies 'And may I ask, who you are to have the freedom of such power?'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf looks at Lustria.

Lustria lifts her chin slightly, 'I am a servant of Lord Tyr Grimjaws, a Defender of Justice. And this falls well within my purview.'.

Jethral nods, 'And I am a Faithblade of Torm.'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods and smiles 'A servant of the God of Justice! Now, that is most fortunate!'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf turns to you 'Tormian... now you however are loyal to the Order of Tyr as well...' He hmms again.

Lustria nods slightly, maintaining her silence.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf stands tall and speaks clearly 'I agree that we should leave this place'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf adds quickly 'Together!'.

Lustria says to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'Very well, spread your hands upon a clear space on that table that I might bind them.'

Jethral nods, but continues to block the door, 'I have rope, if you do not have manacles, Defender.'.

Lustria says to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'You may leave the responsibility of your safety in my capable hands.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf adds 'But it seems, forget for my boldness, even in the eyes of the fine servants of the gods, such as yourselves, a bit unfair, to decline the offer of the trial to the public as well, don't you think so?'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf sighs, 'Looks like it is you two against me, plus anyone outside, perhaps the witness...'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods.

Lustria tells A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'The purpose of a trial is to determine guilt and punishment if necessary. Not to provide a spectacle.'.

You say to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'If you comply, then you have nothing to fear about numbers.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods 'These are true words, servant of Tyr. But to me you seem to biased on this matter. I hope it is not the case, but that is why I asked for an open trial, to keep the judgment neutral and open-minded. But it seems that you are that kind of person,' he looks at Lustria.

Lustria says in agreement of your words, 'If you comply, I will permit no harm to you whilst you are in my custody. Till a time when the trial concludes or your resist due process.'.

You hear the soft sounds of kobolds wandering around.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf puts his cutlass away to the pack, readies his hands and asks 'I comply, that you bind my hands, but I request to be healed from the fever the moment it is available'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf stops using a deep purple steel cutlass encrusted with seashells.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf puts a deep purple steel cutlass encrusted with seashells in a cloth pack.

Jethral nods, 'Should we take his spellpouch as well?'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf packs his belongings.

Lustria looks at A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf shakes his head firmly 'I decline stronlgy! The items in my spellpouch are the result of long time of hard findings and searching'.

You ask A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'I wish to ask you a question: After myself and the girl here first came in, did you see someone walk in and out?'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf Hmmmms...
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf says 'I did not. Just myself'

You say to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'Please put the spellpouch into the pack, so you cannot reach it.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods.
Lustria moves to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf and pulling forth manacles, goes through the attempted motions of manacling A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf and confiscating A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf's spell component bag.

Lustria lowered the spear and now makes a small note in a book which she retrieves then puts away.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf stretches his hands out, 'Do not forget about my feverish condition, please'.

Lustria nods to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'it is noted.'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods 'I thank you'.

Lustria gets a glass flask of cure disease from a loose potions bandolier.

Lustria approaches A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'Here, open your mouth' she says as she feeds A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf a potion.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf opens it obediently.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf smiles 'Much better, thank you!'.

Lustria nods.

Lustria begins to chant.
Lustria utters the words, 'ghaiz gtui'.
Lustria's skin hardens to a malleable stone.

Lustria says 'Now, we will proceed out'

You nod at her.

Lustria glances at you.
Lustria begins to chant.
Lustria utters the words, 'ghaiz gtui'.
Your skin hardens to a malleable stone.

You thank Lustria.

You ask Lustria 'Ready?'

Lustria begins to chant.
Lustria utters the words, 'axrg xugeaw'.
Lustria grows serious as wisdom takes root within her.

Lustria nods at you.

**A random moment during combat**

A kobold warrior lunges at Lustria from out of nowhere!
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf's belly rumbles from hunger 'Oh, and please let me eat a ration or two from my pack'.

You say 'When we are out of the mansion.'

Lustria nods at you.
Lustria says to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf 'Soon.'

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf nods.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf asks 'Eating time?'

Lustria moves to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf and retrieving whatever rations she might find in A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf's belongings, feeds it to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf looks upset 'That is all I have, but it should suffice for a while'.
You roll your eyes.

You get a pizza from a black silk bag.

Jethral feeds A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf the pizza, if he is willing.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf takes the bites of the wet (from rain) pizza.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf utters 'Excellent! I wish to be a prisoner even longer, if that is the prison's menu!'.
A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf adds ' I am satiated. Thank you.'.

Jethral sighs, 'It was from my personal stock. I don't abuse prisoners.'.

Lustria looks to the darkened skies for a silent moment then taking up a stand a little away from A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf says, 'Here I begin a trial under open sky and in wilderness with no rule of law but that given by a servant of justice. Presiding over, I am Lustria, a Defender of Justice and a clerk of the Just Hand's Church.'.

Lustria looks to A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf, 'What name does the accused go by?'.

A dark-haired, tanned male halfelf repsonds 'The name is Vidar. The Conjurer of the Silverymoon.'.

Lustria jots down a note to a small book clipped to her belt without looking at it.
Lustria looks at Vidar.

Vidar looks at Lustria.

Lightning flashes in the sky.

Lustria dips her head to Vidar a slight bit as she steps forward and lays a gauntleted hand on Vidar's arm, 'Do you give your word that all spoken henceforth will be the truth?'.

Lustria begins to chant.
Lustria utters the words, 'tiax aruoiwunsoh'.

Vidar responds, standing tall and proud 'I do give my word.'.
Vidar nods convincingly.

Lustria nods then murmurs a prayer before moving to you, 'Do you, Faithblade of my Lord's most loyal servant, give the same?'.

Jethral nods, 'On my word, as a Faithblade of Torm the True, that my words will speak true.'.

Lustria murmurs a brief prayer then steps back to form a lopsided triangle with you and Vidar. Looking to Vidar she simply says, 'Please recount all you can remember of your actions and experience from when you stepped onto the paths leading to the tower to the tiem I arrived.'.

Vidar nods and takes a while to think.

Lustria rests her spear's haft in the crook of an elbow, it's butt planted on the ground and tip pointed over her left shoulder.

Vidar starts 'My aim was to free a mage, whom I have been told should be paralyzed. This mage was supposedly a friend from a mage in the Inn in Berdusk, the name of whom I cannot recall.'.

Lustria nods to Vidar as she listens.

Vidar continues 'I took it as a good opportunity to learn perhaps something from this mage once I have freed his friend, as I desire to be more potent in the ways of Mystra.'.

Vidar pauses and goes on.

Lustria maintains her silence. A silvered gaze fixed evenly on Vidar.

Vidar keeps on 'And so I went to the tower. However, being not skilled with the ways of a common fighter, I had troubles going through the rows of kobolds.'.

Vidar continues 'And so I remembered of an simple, low-level incantation, which mobilizes the bones to form a skeletal being. I did find it as a perfect sheilding for me, being untrained in the ways of a warrior.'.

Jethral's eyes go wide at the admission.

Lustria nods with seeming easiness to Vidar, her faceplate hiding the features of her face.

Vidar goes on 'The spell works like telekinesis spell, although there is a necromantic version of this spell as well. Me, being no necromant, and also having no desire in this magic school speciality, I just used the telekinesis version, which lifts the bones and keeps' the magically intact, each bone close to each other, so that it mimics a skeleton.

Vidar keeps on talking.

Lustria gestures her attentiveness to Vidar.

Vidar adds 'Now, because this was my first try at this spell, my first telekinetic skeleton was fast battered and useless for any further fight, in order to help the imprisoned mage. I also took some battering, so I had to retreat, that is why you could see the first one outside the tower.’

Vidar goes on 'Having in mind that the time plays a role, the mage could be dead if I delayed, so I quickly created another one. The second one was the one that you, Lady Lustria, destroyed, and which helped me to survive.'.

Lustria nods then asks, 'At what point did the Faithblade and the other encounter you?'.

Vidar nods and prepares to answer.

Vidar responds 'It was when I succesfully managed to free the friend of the mage - and receive the reward in the form of some not yet known flask and the leave to train with that mage, and got information about some usage of found in the kobold's towers coins. So I went back there to riddle the puzzle with the strange coins. Additionally I found some hidden room with interesting mirror. However with the kobolds around I had to maintain myself alive - with the help of my telekinetic creation. And that is when I found the young Tormian with a friend, I presume.

Vidar ends his defense.

Lustria nods slightly, 'What were the first actions and words done or spoken by the faith blade?' she ass Vidar.

Lystianna tells you 'My apologies. I've returned.'

Vidar responds 'He immediately took his interest in my creation and claimed that I created it. Which I did not deny nor agreed. I simply saw no reason to respond to an unknown person.'.

You reply to Lystianna 'We are in the fields to the south of the forest. Come if you wish it.'

Lustria nods and raises her hand to Vidar, 'Very good then.' she turns her attention on you, 'Please recount your time from sight of the first animated to meeting the accused.'.

Lystianna rides in upon Amonniel, a black and chestnut painted horse from the north.

Jethral nods, 'Before I start, the witness is on the way.'.

Lustria looks at Lystianna.

Lystianna rides in, looking at everyone there assembled.

Jethral looks to Lystianna quickly, before recounting his tale.

Lystianna dismounts Amonniel, a black and chestnut painted horse.
Lustria raises a hand to you to call a quick pause.

You nod at her.

Lystianna dismounts and hobbles Amonniel, a black and chestnut painted horse, nodding to you.

Lustria asks Lystianna 'Hail, You enter the trial of an accused wizard. Are you the witness?'

Lystianna gives a courtly bow to Lustria. 'Yes milady,' she replies.

Lustria gestures to herself, 'You come before Defender Lustria, of the Just Hand's Church, who is presiding. What is your name?'.

Lystianna glances at Vidar. 'I am Lystianna Illadrin, hopeful of the Loyal Fury,' she tells Lustria.

Lustria nods slowly then looks back to you, 'My apologies, Please speak your part.'.

Jethral nods, and begins to recount his experience.

You say 'I was walking with miss Lystianna, we had come from the Friendly Arm in search of combat training and helping evil folk find swift justice.'

You say 'We had discovered when we came upon the gates of the tower, an undead kobold. We dispatched of it quickly, and I warned miss Lystianna of possible danger.'

You say 'We were not in the tower long before we came upon a room, consisting of this man in a room with the foul undead.'

You say 'I accused him of creating the undead, and he went about showing us coins and trying to draw focus from the question.'

Vidar nods.

You say 'I had informed him I contacted more people, and I drew my blades in case he attempted to flee.'
You ask 'That is when you entered, Defender. Should I continue?'

Lystianna stands by quietly, nodding at almost everything that you are saying.

Jethral clears his throat, 'Excuse me...'.

Vidar looks interested.

Lustria shakes her head slightly and asks, 'No, my memory from that point serves me well. Where though, did you suggest the lady go after I arrived?'.

Lystianna glances at Vidar.

Vidar responds 'I do not understand the question.'.
Vidar Hmmmms...

Lustria explains to Vidar, 'You've no need to understand, The question was aimed at the Faithblade.'.

Jethral nods, 'That is what I was about to mention, since it is relevant, but not material to the case at hand.' He sighs lightly, 'I witnessed what I thought to be someone step into the room and then leave. I instructed miss Lystianna to find her, to confirm her identity. I believed it to be miss Saoirse.'.

You say 'I would ask miss Lystianna to identify her though, so there is no bias.'

Lustria nods and gestures to Lystianna, 'Please, feel free to add what you might.'.

Lystianna speaks up, her voice solemn as befitting the situation. 'I know not the name of the lady, nor did I get an opportunity to catch more than a glimpse of her. I can say with some certainty though that she was a human lass with fair hair. She and I were never formally introduced. By the time that I had completed a sweep of the ruin, as instructed, she was nowhere to be found."

Lystianna says to Lustria 'I might add, however, that this gentleman did admit to having animated the corpse in my hearing.'

Vidar nods at Lystianna.

Lustria raises her hand to call a silence. Nodding to Vidar,
Lystianna and you she drops it as she seemingly deliberates.

Lystianna falls silent.

Jethral grips his blades, but says nothing.

Vidar stands tall and patient.

Lustria sits and relaxes.
Lustria rises from her rest.

Lustria tilts her gaze to Vidar, 'Do you have else to speak before I give my judgment?' she says with very little shifting of her stance.

Vidar takes the liberty and speak 'Might I add a note to my defense?'.
Lustria nods.

The new moon rises.
The lightning has stopped.

Vidar clears his throat and starts 'I did admit to the present witnesses, that I created the telekinetic creation, although saying in the beginning that I did neither admit nor deny it - my mistake rising from the loss of the memory in such a stressful situation. It was also mentioned that I talked about the coins…’

Vidar clears again the throat and goes on.

Vidar continues 'I mentioned about the coins to simply get an interest in those, because the main focus was on my creation and not on the kobold tower and it sectrets itself. I hoped to get some information from the gathered witnesses, but they were insisting on examining the created being. And so I went on about speaking about a hidden room with mirror, but it did not took their interest. As for me, a Conjurer, the creation was of no importance and I was interested in the towers secrets, and I also assured them that no harm will meet them from my creation.’

Vidar pauses and adds convinced 'I have nothing further to add.'.

Lystianna purses her lips and frowns, but stays quiet.

Lustria nods and takes a few, calm sips from her decanter.

Lustria replaces the decanter in her basket and simply says, 'Vidar, conjurer of silverymoon. With the truth revealed through this trial I judge you guilty of two counts of reanimation of the dead and one count of lying under oath...'.

Jethral allows a small bit of breath to escape from his mouth as he listens.

Vidar looks surprised and speechless.

Lystianna puts the tip of her sword in the dirt before her, resting both hands upon the pommel. She somehow looks solemn and satisfied at the same time.

Lustria approaches Vidar and explains as she reaches for Vidar's shoulders, 'Were your constructs merely constructed through transmutative magic, my faith would not have dispersed the clear necromantic energies pulsing through them and your second animated corpse would still be standing at your side right now. I believe the first was of the same nature. Accounting for your two counts of reanimation."

Lystianna murmurs, 'That we know of,' barely loud enough for herself to hear.

The rain stopped.

Vidar retakes his posture 'Since when the usage of magic for the purpose of self-defense is taken as a guilty deed? And it was not lying, it was simply forgetting the memories under stressful situation. Moreso, this information which I gave at first, was even not helping my cause. After my defence it was added by the witness that I admitted, which helped my case.’

Lustria lowers her gauntleted hands onto Vidar's shoulders, 'Even the kobolds so despise such use of their dead that upon our exit, they all aimed to kill you. Despite the clearer threat myself and the Faithblade posed.'.

Vidar sighs and replies 'I understand your view of point, since you are a follower of a deity and not a practitioner of the Arts of the Weave. I presume under the trial by the wizarding court, the verdict would be different.' He pauses and adds 'But let it be so.'.

Lystianna asks 'Isn't necromancy illegal in all the goodly cities?'

Vidar shouts 'Aha! A good point!'.

Lustria looks through her faceplate's slits into Vidar's eyes as she hardens her gaze, 'And finally, either through intent or incompetence you attempted to lie about the true nature of your magics during trial. Either or both are still offenses.'.

Vidar adds quickly 'I was in a remote place, far from any goodly city, for that matter. And, in my reasoning, defending my life stands on the first place'.

Vidar looks to Lustria 'Do as you must... I surrender to your will.'.

Lustria reaches for Vidar's throat in an attempt to clamp Vidar's speech closed though not harm Vidar. She nods at you, 'Lay your shield flat on the ground.'.

Lystianna says 'Besides, these lands are legally controlled by the city of Waterdeep.'

Vidar sighs as he shakes his head, but remains silent.
Lustria looks at you.

Jethral looks over to Lustria in response.

Lustria looks between you and Lystianna, 'If we might have the use of a shield?' she asks with a firm grip to Vidar's throat.

Lystianna immediately removes her shield and lays it on the ground.

Lustria shoves Vidar to his knees and releases Vidar's throat. Forcing each of Vidar's hands squarely onto the shield he nods at you, 'Your punishment for these charges' she says to Vidar, 'is an arm severed for each animation and a fine to your belongings.'.

Vidar trembles but remains silent.

Lustria says to you 'He kneels ready. Proceed'

You nod.

Jethral walks over simply, sheathing one of his blades, and holding the other with two hands.

You hold a serrated bastard sword with a straight hilt and a lobed pommel in both of your hands.

Vidar looks to his arms and then looks on the grass.

Lystianna just stands by and watches.

Jethral says quietly, 'Justice be served.'.

Jethral lobs off one arm quickly, waiting only a moment before coming down on the other with precision.

Vidar gnashes his teeth with anger, but moreso with pain.

Vidar utters a loud cry of pain.

You say to yourself 'May the punishment fit the crime and the innocent made whole.'

Vidar presses the bloody stumps to his chest, as to stop the bleeding.

Lystianna murmurs quietly. 'Let Justice be served.'.

Lustria grips the bleeding stumps and squeezes almost cruelly, though a moment later. A white glow is seen and when she stands with bloodied gauntlets and vambrace the wounds are all but healed.

Lustria nods, 'Justice be done.' She then moves along Vidar's belongings, Picking out a wand and declaring, 'This will suit for a fine.'.

Lustria looks down at Vidar then looks to you, 'I need return to the city to recuperate from this ordeal. Is there anything else you would ask of me?'.

Jethral shakes his head, 'No Defender, though the incident with the page... I just want to make sure you go by Lystianna's sight.' He nods, 'I have a feeling she may try to be deceptive.'.

Lustria speaks evenly, 'I will pursue the matter.'.

Lystianna's mouth is set in a look of disgust as she gazes down upon Vidar. She turns to you. 'I beg your pardon?'.

Jethral nods, 'May you find Justice always, Defender.'.

Vidar utters indifferently 'Am I free to leave?'.

You say to Vidar 'Your punishment has been served. You may leave.'

Lustria says to Vidar 'Yes. Mayhaps go and meditate upon this. Truth keep you.'

Vidar turns without a word and walk north. Always north...

Jethral looks over to Lystianna, 'Miss Saoirse seems to have... an issue with me.'.

Lustria begins to chant.
Lustria utters the words, 'xuie xart'.
Lustria becomes translucent and begins to rise into the air.

Lustria says 'I bid the both of you a pleasant day.'

You nod at her.

Lustria flies south.

This is incredibly long, but it was fun and rewarding. Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone who RPed!

Waterdeep controls everything.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

He probably doesn't.
