One of the best things about FK is the community. The characters are great, but it's the players that make them shine.
Ever have great roleplays with specific characters, but the character logged off over a year ago (or more)? Maybe the player even lurks the forums, but hasn't played the game (or that specific character) in a long time. Odds are some remaining players on the game still know how to get in touch with the player(s).
Maybe they've left and won't be coming back for various reasons, but I recall when I quit other games and saw people still mentioning me on the forums, it still gave me a good feeling. Don't those players at least deserve to know we're still thinking about them?
I created this topic for players to get in touch with people from the game they miss that don't appear to play anymore (this may need to be moved to off-topic as it's OOC). Maybe the players come back; maybe they don't, but we can remind them we still think of them.

Re: Miss List
Not an exhaustive list, but I'll start with a few that come to mind that I miss:
Akordia - I wouldn't even be here if not for her player; she brought me to the game. There's a kindness to Bonnie's characters that bled in from her personality and they were always enjoyable to be around.
Krunk (I think that was how he spelled his name; was a Dwarf who helped me when I was brand new to the game) - Man, I was new and this guy got me in so much trouble, but it was always so fun to be around him. Without him I probably would have been stuck in Mithral Halls forever as he was the one that showed me the way out.
Tretch - He was the only evil Dwarf I knew of for a very long time. His character adhered to his basic tenants and, despite his evil nature, formed a bond with Selveem, Cret, and Thenwood. I miss Cret, too, even though he's still kind of around.
Seren - This guy was a good roleplayer, but always lived on the edge. With him I was always putting my characters and their gear on the line. He knew how to keep it exciting and keep me out of my comfort zone.
Teepo (though he logged recently, I haven't seen him in years) - This guy has an unforgettable character. To this day I remember him rubbing his nose!
Wynne - My first character, Gedras', unofficial wife. Wynne's player is probably the most charitable and kind-hearted person I've ever encountered in a game. She kept Gedras down the path of being good and was also an excellent dungeon-crawling companion to Selveem.
Gwark - When Selveem met him, he was basically the undisputed King of the Orcs. Ceara (not to be confused with Ciara), Selveem's Queen, introduced him to Gwark and through Gwark fostered Selveem's understanding and care of the Orcs. To this day Selveem has an immense respect for the Orcs due to the interactions between the Ceara, Gwark, and Selveem.
OG Sune (I forgot her character names) - I was having a difficult time being new to the game and her player went out of the way on multiple occasions to help me out. As an example, Gedras fell into some pit and didn't have climb skill. He got to the point where he was thirsting and starving to death and she came to help (I think there was no pray channel back then and definitely very few Dwarves). She helped me on multiple occassions, IC and OOC, to understand the game mechanics. I was definitely a burden to her (sorry!) but she was always awesome.
Schlem - I honestly can't put my finger on why, but I miss this guy. I've never had a positive interaction with the character, but I definitely miss his presence.
Thenwood - Definition of chaos. He's quite possibly insane. Still, Tretch, Cret, Thenwood and Selveem were extremely close and I miss this guy!
Ciara - Few know this, but Selveem was extremely uncomfortable around women (still is, actually, but has learned how to hide it with some Charisma boosts) and to spite Sune, he swore off love. If there was one character that made him come close to breaking that, it was Ciara.
Rikus - Selveem met Rikus when he was still fairly young. Rikus was a fairly serious fellow like Selveem, but unlike Selveem, occasionally Rikus was definitely not. One moment in FK history I will never forget was when he and Selveem attended a wedding and Rikus discreetly lifted a cheek to break the silence. >.>
Marcus - FM of Tempus when Selveem first started out. He worked around Selveem's nature (and Orc friendship) to guide him to better serve Tempus. Every interaction I had with Marcus was enjoyable and I still remember a few of them to this day.
Garumsh - This guy kept Selveem's friendship with the Orcs fairly strong throughout his "reign." Though he never seemed to intend to become the next King of the Orcs, he was at least the caretaker of them and did his best to keep Orcs protected. Selveem respected that.
Silk (forget his character's real name; not in my logs) - Along with Xaden (Fox) and his two wives, Silk was an member of a bad group of ragtags that caused a lot of mischief in the game. My favorite was when Fox stole some valuables from a horse that had been left out in Waterdeep when it was against the rules, holed up with Silk, and then came out on his own acting as if he were negotiating for Silk for the return of the goods he'd stolen himself. >.>
Deltheric - Kiert's feigned misunderstandings and perverse nature.. Oh the fun Kiert had with this poor guy. But, it was for a good cause! Sune herself would have been happy at Kiert's matchmaking attempts!
Gorwin - This one is IC and OOC. Gorwin was always helpful and loved a good adventure. I could always count on him to be around for it, but Gorwin and his characters are such softies it's difficult not to enjoy being around them. Additionally, his alt and I created a masterpiece of a poem together!
Aldren - I've had a number of enjoyable roleplays with Aldren, but (and I know it sounds stupid,) the most memorable was when Aldren crafted the mace that Kiert used for a very long time. He still has it, by the way.
Nicholette - She holds the title of "only Sunite Selveem can stand to be around for a long time." She's extremely respectful and enjoyable to be around. It doesn't take much to get her excited about a new adventure, either. Selveem just wishes she would stop healing the scars she earned.
Zarafae - Zarafae be evil, but the best kind of evil: intelligent evil. Selveem and Zarafae were dungeon-crawling buddies. Zarafae was good about hiding her underhanded dealings from Selveem while they were together (damned devious evils) and always appeared to be an honorable person despite flawed nature in Selveem's mind.
Rhytania - She's played by an awesome player that has a lot of depth to his characters in general. Rhytania, in particular, was always fun to debate religion with for Selveem and helped him understand Tempus more fully just by listening to the way she felt about different subjects.
Danten - Another evil that was enjoyable to be around, but his player had great RPs I loved being around.
I'll probably edit to add more later and/or announce any successful reunions.
Akordia - I wouldn't even be here if not for her player; she brought me to the game. There's a kindness to Bonnie's characters that bled in from her personality and they were always enjoyable to be around.

Re: Miss List
I've seen many people come and go, but my short list would be:
Shannon
Tahlvia
Zashier
Brye
Teepo
Aishe. *cry*
Parsley
Dovan
Longstrider
Lunette
Sheriti
Caethan
Just a few of the people I've had the privilege to meet over the years and many more deserve the list, but have faded into the mists of time. Here's hoping I see any or all of you some day soon!

Re: Miss List
Elenthis - Along with Mers (miss you, toooo!), Elenthis inspired Areia's creation as I was fairly afraid of the thought of trying out the wizard class in FK (turned out to be probably the most enjoyable character I've ever played in any game.. ever, so thanks, you two) and is someone she very much looked up to in her earlier days. Jeff was a great, engaged RPer and was fantastic to get to spend time with.
Natasha - I've only met a small handful of players who can really crank up the creep factor like Natasha's could. And the RP she had going for a while with young, naive Areia before her player left was just a blast, one that'll definitely stick with me. Man, if she were to run into Areia now... XD
Nearraba - Her writing was somehow.. hm, intoxicating I think is an apt description. There was a certain something about it I just adored (and totally shamelessly attempted and failed to rip off to some degree). Much like most others on this list too, her characters and playstyle had a depth to them that I think is very difficult to reach. I didn't really get to spend as much time out in the forests as I'd have like while she was around, but she was one of those players who just kept you always wishing you could stick around just a little longer.
Nerian - I discovered FK just after the real bulk of this character's reign, and I lament that fact quite often. I love his player and I'd have loooved to enjoy a rivalry with the PC! I was legitimately half bummed, half angry lol for, like, days after I found out what ended up happening to him.
Rynn and Gesine (and Scruff) - You guys make me lol nearly without stop whenever you're near. Come baaaack
Tertius - One of my favorite Tyrran characters. He was just... awesome, period, and his player was another great writer and really had me paying attention whenever he'd walk into a room, not something easily accomplished.
Vraunryn - Tsara misses her boy toy... XD He was just all around fun. It was always nice to relax with him to ease the impacts of the more emotionally-charged RP I often engage in.
There are lots.. and lots of others, Falgorn and his alts, Myna, Teval, Theia, Dardek... so on... Man, I've met a lot of awesome people here! But I promised myself not to make a list ten miles long, so I'll stop for now. Though now I'm feeling all nostalgic-ish.
Fortunately, new friends keep coming. Thanks, past and new buddies, for making FK the best place to be ever.

Re: Miss List
I really like what Areia did by explaining why. I'm going to update my list and explain why I miss the characters on my list.
This land shall come to the God who knows the answer to War. -Ninety-Nine Nights
Re: Miss List
My list is going to be short. Please don't take that as an insult, but understand my mindset. When I create a character, I get into that character. When the character becomes hard to play (lack of friends, something went wrong between character generation and where she is now, etc), I simply stop playing her and create a new character. So I think my short list says more about me than any of the RPers here in the FK Community. After all, I do love playing here. (And those of who don't know, I typically only played on MUSHes -- I grew up playing White Wolf, D&D, and Star Wars. It used to be a common phrase - it's ROLE play, not ROLL play!)
So my list ...
Yumna (Joy) - Nixa MISSES Joy so much!!! Never has any of my characters bonded so well and so quickly than she did with Joy. She is very much like Nixa's little sister. Ok, and there was some angst and drama going on. So in a way,..
Jethral - It would be rude to say 'Miss by association' because really, Jethral was a wonderful foil to Nixa's character development. It's unfortunate that things got caught up in the awkward love triangle (of sorts). So despite that we argued and bickered more so than us ever getting along, I do miss the RP.
Ungtar - I hope I spelled the name correctly. The perfect antagonist for Talaedra! Unfortunately, I'm discovering that her focus on the bow, and with the bow not being able to be magical (magic arrows are costly and hard to get to -- btw, you have to say that like Nathan Fillian in Serenity)... it really stunted her growth, as there are some creatures... they are hard to kill without magic. But back to Ungtar, he was the perfect adversary for an elven ranger -- an orc! A Malarite! How can she not love "the thrill of the hunt"!
Elenthis - Much like Areia, Elenthis was the first person that I truly RP'ed with here as Aysa. He's the one that got me hooked. How can I complete this list without the reason for why I'm still here after all this time?
I'm sure there are others that I really enjoyed playing with, so please don't be offended if I left you off the list. The other thing about me? I can be quite forgetful and may need to be reminded from time to time (*shakes her fist at her blonde hair* Damn you, golden locks!)

Re: Miss List
This list could be too long if I don't intentionally keep it shortened. But, here goes:
Ketlic, Takket, Carresk, Enazodu, Jarris, Wrok, Llykir: My friend group growing up, from Kindergarten until now. We all started playing together when we were about 12 years old, went to grade school, high school, and some of us college together. Since, a vast majority of the group is now married, have careers that disallow frequent playing of FK, etc. We roleplayed together, got in trouble together, and laughed together. I'll never forget my first group of solid IRL, and IC best friends.
Mazikeen: One of my close friends over the years. We had fun on goodies and baddies together, and always found a way to have a good IRL conversation in between.
Laurie: Too much could be said about Laurie. She hasn't played in years, but boy was she fun. FK royalty, too.
Myn: Always good to joke around with Myn. She makes being an evil wizard so much fun. So much grace and so much malice all rolled into one.
Levine: I've never had so many IC and IRL inside jokes with anyone in my life. Wanton Eyes forever, girl.
Kienro: After we had all been playing for a while, we later found out he lived like...30 minutes away. Sad we never hung out. Great times, though.

Technically, we're all half centaur.
