Gondar Innovation Fair

Post by Algon » Wed Jun 14, 2017 1:04 am

Come one, come all! To a showing of invention and innovation. This is open to everyone who thinks
their inventions should be seen by the masses. No invention too small or too large. Every invention shall
be examined and studied by the High Artificer. The invention deemed the best will be rewarded with
something special! So come and enjoy yourself, there will be good food and drinks and possibly some
wonderful entertainment.

OOC:
So, what we are wanting is to have you submit renames for items already in game to re-purpose them.
Make sure your entry is imaginative and complete. Colors and everything you want it to look like.
One entry per player please. Each submission will cost the normal 10 glory as would any rename.
Something special will be awarded to the winner.
I am thinking the event will take place on July 8th at 2pm Central time.
Let me know if we need to adjust the time, I want to be able to have an many people there as possible.

OOC: Just for a little clarification, are we writing up some invention that we intend to make and then if we win we pay the glory to rename the item? Or are we renaming the items ourselves and then presenting those particular items at the fair?

Renaming the item and then present said renamed item at the fair. It was discussed and decided that the normal 10 glory rename cost would apply, so that people would really put some thought into their inventions and not just submit whatever because it was free. The idea is to win the contact, not just get cool free renames for yourself. :)

We will be happy to throw in some version of a clockwork prosthetic to the winner, be it a mechanical hand or some sort of crystal eye.
A goblin, a trickster, a warrior? A nameless terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. A most feared being in all the cosmos. Nothing could stop, hold, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.

Thaien has been spotted in the market square, planning and sketching his submission. The timing should work out for me!

I am excited for this event, I've been looking forward to it since the first post and can't wait to see what everyone has imagined up. With that in mind I long for just a little more clarification. Where precisely will the fair be taking place?

Well that could be helpful information, hmm? We will hold it at the Temple of Gond in Waterdeep. It is just off of shark street north of the Temple of Selune. If you need help finding it, feel free to send Kaden a tell the day of.
