So, two oddities (I think they're oddities) I've found regarding this sup item.
First, I've always seen the lion it produces rescue the user immediately after being loaded. But right now, it seems to be failing to even try to do so; all it's doing is joining into combat and attacking. I've tried ordering it to rescue--thought that might be what I was missing--but doing so returns the usual failure echo for ordering non-minion characters. The lion will just disappear after a few seconds.
Second, it seems to have been meant to only allow a certain number of uses before needing to recharge(?), which I gather by the usual echo of "blabla glows for a second" a while after first using. It doesn't seem to be working properly, however; I was able to summon I think six or seven lions in a very short time for this testing, and never got a "The ring needs to recharge" or anything like I'd have expected after the first or second time.A hobgoblin shaman apprentice approaches you and prepares to engage you in combat!

The tall proud lion disappears in a flash of light.
So, to summarize: the lion seems unable to even attempt rescuing, which is what I've always seen it do for other PCs, and the ring's charge limitations might not be working properly either.
Apologies ahead of time if I'm just not doing something right or whatnot. The item's completely new to me so it might just be me. Not a whole lot of faith members active to ask at the moment.
