Attention!

The Steeleye Laexus Stelwar sends out a call to all who hold no contempt in
their heart. How prepared do you believe yourself? Come and your might and
worth, whether through strength of arm or magic.

The church of Lord Helm will soon gather at the Ready House of the Right Strong
Hand in Berdusk to sponsor games of war, which will be described in greater
detail below. To teach of His faithful, and our interactions with the Realms.
Those who are interested in His faith are invited openly to come and introduce
themselves.

For an entry fee of ten suns, any who are welcome may participate in
structured, team-oriented combat games. The will be two teams, and at least as
many rounds to determine the winners as both sides take it in turns devising
strategies as both defenders, and invaders. Teams will be selected at random.
Equipment will be provided. Spellcasters will be limited to using four or
fewer unique spells or prayers.(Not four total.) To the victors, the Steeleye
offers a prize of gold. The amount will be announced on the date of the event.

If there are anymore questions, they can be placed to the Steeleye in private,
or saved until the date of the event.

malice, a call to test all the strategic minds among us, the talents for
leadership, taking orders, and above all, to keep guarded a thing tasked
to ye.

We will gather first in the Ready House of the Right Strong Hand, in Berdusk.
There we will explain all additional rules for these church-sponsored games
of war, what is not explained below. All questions will be answered at this
time. An entry fee of ten suns will be collected at this time as well - Do
not send your entry fee through the Post, or otherwise deliver it prior to
this moment.

Two teams will contend in a structured format to decide the dominant force.
Members of these teams will be decided from competitors based on a number of
factors, which will not be revealed here - Assume it is random, for all
intents. Equipment will be provided to you - No armour, weapons, or magical
trinkets will be allowed to you save that which is provided. Spellcasters
will be limited to four or fewer unique spells or prayers(Not four total).
These spells may not be intended to bring about immediate death, but aside
that, decide for yourselves how best to choose for your team.

(Spells may be reassigned between rounds)

To the victors go the spoils, and let it not be said the Steeleye is
without generosity. All prizes will be finalized at the time of team
assignments, but below should give an idea of what to expect:

be directed to Laexus through the Magical Post, or addressed at the time of meeting. An
entry fee of ten suns will be collected at that time as well - Do not send your entry fee
through the Post, or otherwise deliver it in advance. This makes organization easier, and
protects you from lost coinage if you become unable to attend.

as last. Equipment will be provided to you upon arrival - No armour, weapons, or
magical trinkets will be allowed to you save that which is provided. Spellcasters
will be limited to three or fewer unique spells or prayers(Not three total). These
spells may not be intended to bring about immediate death, but aside that,
decide amongst yourselves what will best serve the needs of your team.

Prizes will not be revealed here yet - though the victorious team will be well rewarded,
trust.

We're giving this more than a month's advance notice, to (hopefully!) give everyone time to prepare and train up whatever character they'd like to bring. We always meant to try this again after it hit well last time, but I just realised it's been almost 4 years. Oops.

Thanks to all who came, I hope everyone had fun. I learned a lot from how things went to adjust the rules a bit, so keep an eye out for new formats in future.
