The High Harvesttide

Post by Oengus » Sun Sep 23, 2018 11:04 am

O adventurer, the High Druid of Chauntea calls upon thee!
There has been such an abundance of corn and wheat that the
farms and fields must be harvested in doubletime, lest the
sweet Bounty of the Earth be lost to the first snap of cold in
coming days. Oengus bids thee, take up thy sacks, packs,
buckets, bushels, and baskets - and gather all you can!

Oengus bids ye gather up as much produce as one can
in the turn of Seven Days time to the Goldenfields Abbey,
for a-counting. The grandest tithe shall be given a grand
prize - a jar of the Goodberries! Seek the Mother's Bounty
in hill or dale, in mountain and vale, wherever it may grow.

The High Druid bids all Chaunteans set aside their qualms
for just this day; let us join in thanks to our great Goddess.
Let us not look to one another, but to the Goddess of Grain.
May all with mouths to eat raise their voices in thanks
to thee, O Beautiful Chauntea.

A portion of all provisions tithed shall be sent to the
cold mountain townes across Faerun to fight starvation.
Lay your sword unto its sheath, set down your shield, tis time to eat. Butter thy bread and slice thy wurst, rest thy boots upon the hearth! For never was a meal as fine! Bless the mead and mutton, bread and wine.

Does this run from today until Saturday the 29th? Is there a gathering for people to turn in their harvest for counting?

This event will run from the 23rd to the 29th, and I propose we gather at the Goldenfields Abbey around 3PM PST on the 29th (as not to interfere with other events) where there will indeed be a gathering! Chaunteans from all necks of the woods are especially encouraged to attend. If Adventurers wish to turn in their finds for counting earlier they may contact Oengus ICly to do so.

Here's the proposed time: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ... T15&p1=234
