Tournament of Pain

Blessed are those who charge into battle with the Maiden of Pain in their hearts, for they fear no pain and strike boldly.
To celebrate how Loviatar inspires this strength in the hearts of her faithful, a tournament will be held on the tournament grounds of the Westgate fighter's guild (Gilded Lance) to find the Champion of Pain.

All but faith enemies are welcome to participate - either as contestant or as spectator.

The tournament will go by the following rules:

• No armor. Meaning both no physical and no magical armor

• No healing unless the healing also causes pain in the other contestant.

• No spells that cause instant death. This tournament is about pain, not killing.

• Fights will continue until one contestant can no longer stand the pain and falls unconscious.

• The winner of a fight will advance to the next round.

No healing will be provided after the fights, but there is a shrine to the Maiden nearby and contestants may drag themselves there and praise Her, knowing the pain they feel has been inflicted to please Her.

Contestants are encouraged to bring their own (non armor) attire to cover their body or fight naked (those pleasing to the eye may especially consider this option).
Contestants may also bring as many weapons (magical and mundane) as they can carry.

After the new Champion of Pain has been found there will be a feast (with plenty of food and drink) in Loviatar's honor on the tournament grounds.

Those interested in participating are to sign up with Amira Syria either in person or through amulet or post so fights can be drawn ahead of time.

Let us charge boldly into battle, let us welcome the pain, let us praise the Maiden and find a new Champion of Pain!

If you want to attend as a participant, feel free to send me a message here or on Discord (I'm Siria there) or check in with Amira when I log her in later (probably about an hour before the event). That way I can already write down the names and draw numbers to assign people to fights. Would make things get to the actual fighting a little faster later
