The High Hunt: A repeating event

Post by Mele » Mon Feb 18, 2019 6:21 pm

Time: TBA per event as there will be multiple - monthly or bi-monthly depending on interest.

The High Hunt is an event in which one PC(prey) is released to an area, while a group of PC's hunt them down.

The event will take a volunteer(prey) every time who will be granted, for the event only, an exotic type of PC set up to potentially survive being hunted by your many-houred hard worked PC's.

As prey you will get to choose a PC that I will manufacture for you before the event. You will choose a race, and from a genre of survival. Ex: Brute force, stealth, magic. You will be hunted for minimum an hour, maximum 3 and declared the winner if you are alive at the end of the time period we choose.

As a hunter you will be able to volunteer in the future to be the prey and reap rewards of victory and participation.

Our first prey will be our community's favorite vegetable, Cabadath - who volunteered his own pre-made PC at a random query of interest before I decided the prey would get to be a fancy exotic PC. Once we have worked on scheduling and set up his PC a time will be announced! We are looking at Sunday currently.

If you would like to volunteer as prey please PM me and I will keep a notepad list. If you volunteer for prey I do expect you to be showing up to hunt also - a person who volunteers but does not show for other's time as prey will be overlooked until they participate overall.

Ooooh. This sounds like a really good time. I'm dying to see the first one!

A brief (and probably dumb) question: In IC terms, is it a hunt to the death, like Malarite/Hungerfest style, or is everyone meant to survive even if they're beaten?

I suspect the former, but thought I'd ask so as to avoid mistakenly involving an alt who might not want to be involved for IC reasons.

I am content to take a stun. Regardless the prey is deleted in the end. I am not going to morally thwart someone over an hour of event when the event thrives on participants.

This conflicts with the Oghman event already scheduled to start 1 hour earlier.

Special thanks to Cabbage for being our first guinea pig! The next two prey are lined up. I know now how to improve it for next time!

We can do it every two weeks if you all believe we'll have enough attendance.
