The Raid on Undermountain

Post by Rannas » Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:25 pm

Hello,

I am Rannas, a young priest in Lady Mystra's service. Since I came to the south, there is one place that has loomed figuratively and literally overhead; Mount Waterdeep. I've been warned against, and enticed by, its dangers often since as I'm sure many of you have been. At the time and date posted below, we will test them. I will have supplies ready for any number of adventurers to come with me on this expedition. It's not expected that we will plunge the full depths of this place in a single visit - If it was naive to think so of the Rat Hill, then it would be insanity to assume as much of the Undermountain. The plan is to follow-up on this as we go, at the same time every tenday for so long as interest lasts or we succeed.

We will gather at the Market Centre of Waterdeep, for ease of all. If the unknown calls you, if you have need of treasure, if you itch for a fight - You are encouraged to come. The freshest adventurers are most welcome, though warned at your safety cannot be ensured. We will do our best, and there will be plenty of resources available to increase your chances. Of course given the nature of the place we go, stronger adventurers are encouraged to join as well.

Thank you,
- Rannas

Are we assuming PCs should have started UM already to a given level? Or PCs can come that have never done an UM before?

Our bid to plunder the Undermountain and upset Halaster continues.
A successful expedition!

Having fulfilled several tasks set to us, and outlining our goal for the next, I want to thank everyone who came today. Adventuring on its own has its charm, but you all make it an experience to remember. Our eyes are set currently on setting another attempt at the same time next tenday - If it's appropriate for all, then. If anyone missed the raid today, but would be able to make it to the next, I'm more than happy taking you in the time betwixt to associate you with our progress. Of course, in the mean time I will resupply the expedition's stocks - Safety and preparedness remain the top priority, and so far I'm confident even the freshest adventurers would be safe in the company we've had.

Thank you,
- Rannas
Same time next week? We've done a few of these now, so I'm looking for some feedback! Does this time work for you? Would you attend if it was set to a different hour? Otherwise,

That time works for me. I work on Sundays, but typically work from home on that day (regardless of current events.) So I'm usually distracted but can always be there on Sunday, so long as it is this time or later. Just to sleep in a bit. :D

Thanks to everyone who continues to come to these. This week we got some of the chorier chores done, and should be on the home stretch next week to more exciting treasure. Same time next week? That's:

As always, newer players & characters alike are encouraged to join us on these expeditions. Supplies available for safety.
What are you talking about? What, that guy?
That was like that when I got here.

Heckin' progress! Lots of fun this last time, thanks a lot to everyone who came. Don't feel intimidated to hop in late if you haven't made it to an expedition before, or haven't done anything in the area. :)

Next week! Same time:

Put this on hold this last time since lack of interest(which worked bc honestly bad sleep anyway, I would have killed you all down there), but if the game is alive again by then we'll be on for the same time next week. :)
