The How-To's:
Do you have a character that you would like to submit to find a date? Simply put your name in a letter, and drop it off at your local post addressed to Alisae. Just the name!! Later when I collect all the names, the use of a description will be put up for a weeks time, and the highest bid secures the date. Any PC may enter, good or evil.
You will get only vague details for your bids. Eye color, hair color, build etc.
After the bid, and date has been setup together, a picnic basket filled with goodies will go out to each couple, and you are free to pick a locale for your personal picnic.
You have from today, April 4th, until April 30th, to submit who you would like to auction off for said date.
When May begins, the auction starts, and will change at the beginning of each week. Round yourselves up, and get your names in! All funds collected from the auctions will go to the Church of Sune's leadership and members to hold future events.

Seems we might be calling this due to IC displeasure in the event voiced and lack of votes since. The initial baskets went out, I hope you enjoy the mystery rp from that!

While I have not been participating in this round, I find that any IC complaints should be dealt with IC like the last time this went on. This kind of event will always have some level of displeasure from participants on both sides. However, it was way more fun to deal with the 'hiccups' IC then to blame the event itself. Had to come up with a date with a same-gendered creature of a race that was not within normal bounds for Hadwyn last time. It was great RP that plenty of people got to publicly enjoy.
I say tell the complainers to suck it up and play along. This is an IC event with IC consequences that are all meant to drive RP. If it is that much of an IC issue, they should be banned IC from all future events after meeting their IC obligations from participation.

I don't have any characters that would have been available for this, but I have been looking forward to seeing to who all of the mystery people were and who they got paired with!

I agree with the sentiments of let the IC stay IC, I've also been eager to see what all comes from the dates!

While I appreciate the keep IC-IC sentiment and agree wholeheartedly in normal circumstances..
I cannot make people bid, and people do not want to bid when they do not ICly like the event.
Officially calling this off while round two finishes with no bids.
The hall of fame is moot - one was a 5k bid, one was a joke-couple and one was an orc so we'll let it lie. :)
Maybe another time it will go over better!
