Netflix is making lots of medieval movies all of a sudden. Watched The King last night and I was pretty impressed (one reviewer called it "gorgeous and tedious"); it's pretty much a grittier retelling of Henry V (rather than the historical events upon which it is based).

I started watching this a few days ago but got sidetracked with other things...and then with the release of Disney+...so I finally finished it this evening. I don't know much about the time period to be able to judge the historical accuracy but as a movie it was interesting. Very gritty, brutal, battle scene.

Overall it was more accurate to the play than to history, but the individual combat was better than most. Parrying with the flat of the blade, grappling, trying to find gaps in otherwise impervious armor.

Finally got around to this over the weekend. I thought it was fantastic and the combat scenes, specifically the scene at Agincourt was phenomenal.
"Gorgeous and tedious" is indeed the most accurate description of this movie. Highly recommend everyone check this out if you haven't yet.

I found it way too short. I kept wanting more. I really enjoy knight fall though.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.
