Good news, everybody! We're going to be holding a crafting faire to celebrate and highlight the talents and works of local creators, artisans, inventors, and anyone with enough wherewithal to turn raw materials into something amazing!
If you lack the raw materials you'll be able to purchase ore or ingots from Renea for a breathtakingly cheap price during the period leading up to the faire, though it's a first come first serve basis and so no particular metals are guaranteed to be available if you're not quick!
Not only will you get the opportunity to advertise your wares to new buyers at the faire, but you can win fabulous prizes! Entries in the following categories will be judged, and one winner chosen from each:
Weapon Smithing (Prize: 10 outstanding mithril ingots, 200 platinum)
For this category we'll bring watermelons for you to smash to display your weapon's power! Entries will be judged also on material and quality.
Armour Smithing (Prize: 10 outstanding mithril ingots, 200 platinum)
For this category entries will be judged on material and quality. If there's enough interest we might get some people to use the weapons on these to test their durability as well.
Potion Brewing (Prize: 200 platinum, spell components)
Entries in this category will be judged by their creative combination of spells and by the appeal of the potion bottles used. Extra points can be earned by making multiple potions that work well together, or can be used for a specific, clever, explained purpose.
Lapidary (Prize: 200 platinum, a pouch of gems, 20 average mithril ingots)
Judged by material and quality, though you can earn bonus points by putting together an outfit to match your jewellery (feel free to hire a model!)
Fletching (Prize: 200 platinum, parcel of wood and feathers)
Judged principally by the material and quality. Coordinating the wood and the feather to look good together is a must for this one!
Anyhow, that's your lot! Naturally we'll be serving up refreshments and a spread of sweet and savoury meals and desserts. Also, if there's any extremely impressive entries we reserve the right to offer bonuses on top of the listed prizes, as well. As far as the time goes, it'll be the first of next month, to give people a chance to get their crafting gears spun up! Good luck, goldspeed, and may the forge be with you!

There is no location listed for this event, unless I am misreading it?

Oops! Thanks for the heads up, I completely missed it.
It's being held in the market square of Waterdeep.
