Lathander, the Morninglord, is known for his passion towards
many aspects of life. From giving new life to the planting of new
trees to the love of arts and artists and everything that brings
beauty to this world. He is also known for his love of athleticism
and the betterment of oneself, which is where this message leads.
Maltia, bard and dancer for the Morninglord, is holding an event
for those that wish to improve both their minds and bodies as they
run around the city of Waterdeep and the nearby areas, solving a
number of riddles as they race the other competitors to acquiring a
number of tokens. Magic and the use of flight and mounts will be
disallowed, so make sure you stretch your legs well as you will be
running a lot.
An entry fee of 10 platinum is asked for participation. All
entry fees paid will be divided up into the prize pool given to
first, second and third place, on top of first place receiving a
custom trinket that symbolizes the dawn and the new possibilities
each one brings. The tokens gathered may also be kept, so even if
you do not place, you will leave with some items that can be used
or sold.
*(OOC)This event itself is for those of low to medium skill
levels,(1-30), and those that do not follow those deities that
oppose the Morninglord. If your character would have intentions of
cheating then it is asked they not participate. Try to keep things
fair and as even as possible so that everyone can enjoy it.
Locations for answers will be safe, so there should be no fighting
required to get to any location.
*Boxes with items will also be placed at the locations of the
answer to each riddle. It is asked that, if you are not
participating, you do not remove items from said boxes. Only take
one item from the box so that there is plenty for everyone.
*Please see forum post for date and time of event. If possible,
please reply to the posting on the forum if you plan to participate
so that a rough idea can be given for how many will show.
