Spellcasting prodigy feat
=========================
You have an exceptional gift for magic.
This feat when taken first within the first 4 levels lets you cast more spells (it increases your mana).
This feat has no pre-requisites beyond the fact it must be taken before level 4.

Spellcasting Prodigy
How exactly does the Spellcasting Prodigy work now? Seems like the new spell system made this feat completely useless, as it got rid of the mana system. That is unless it now gives you an extra 1st level or so.

I'm almost positive stat bonuses from items do not stack. It's like in 3rd ed where the only the highest bonus applies. So having two of the same item isn't going to do you any good.
I think Kilak's original question was, or at least this is a question I have, if you took spell casting protigy before the switch to spell slots, does it carry over? I took it on one of my wizards before the change and I'm wondering now if it's still there or not.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and go well with ketchup.
They must stack though, because if i put both on (as opposed to just wearing one and a comm amulet) I get 2 extra spell slots...suggesting it goes up 1, but not enough to get to omniscient.
So I'm sure they stack. But I have no way of testing whether or not spell prodigy ups your int, unless those two amulets push me to omniscient - but they don't.
Does that make sense?
Unless of course, it's Genius level +4 to get to omniscient

Presently, item bonuses do stack, this is because of the old applies code. While tabletop has a wide selection of *types* of bonuses (sacred, luck, circumstance, enhancement, etc) the mud code, presently, does not have those distinctions, nor does it presently only apply the highest bonus when two magical items are "doubled up" so to speak.
That's not to say it always will be that way, but it is for now.

I don't see any problem with item bonuses stacking in fk - since the main purpose of bonuses not stacking has to do with ridiculous modifiers....but in FK we already have a relatively low ceiling for 3rd ed dnd, so that can't really become a problem in the same way.
So is spellcasting prodigy still in the "to be updated" portion of the feats, or does it do something besides bonus int?
