For the Ilmateri, things with purple crocuses would be appropriate. For example,
{F0}Armor embossed with a {50}purple crocus
{F0}A cotton shirt stitched with a {50}crocus design
{F0}A saddle blanket with velvet {50}crocuses
The purple crocus is the symbol for FK's particuliar order of paladins, the Holy Warriors of Suffering. Alternatively you could have very drab equipment for the Ilmateri, IE:
{70}Rough wool breeches
{70}Smooth, unadecorated plate mail
But that's boring. Other good non-paladin specific symbols are roses of different colors and of course the two bound hands.
As for weapons(If you're looking for them) I would say the standard fair, but quarterstaves/blunt objects I think are bit more favorable to Ilmateri. Although Ilmater's favored weapon is an open-handed fist(A-la monks).
As for things I would like to see personally, I think it'd be cool if there could be some creative coding to make an "open-handed" weapon. It would be held in the hand position as a weapon and classified as a blunt weapon, but it would be described as "a combat gauntlet" or "a flexible leather glove" or "gauntlet spikes" and could be enchanted. It would provide a very nice alternative for people who would like to fight open-handed, which to me is a very viable fighting style which sadly gets the shaft because of our code system.
If I think of anything else I'll edit it in.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and go well with ketchup.

The only thing I can think of right now code wise for this would just increase the skill level of the brawling skill while it is worn. But I would need to dig through the builder lessons again.Argentia wrote: As for things I would like to see personally, I think it'd be cool if there could be some creative coding to make an "open-handed" weapon. I don't want to seem unappreciative of you efforts in not replying, Japcil - but I'm just at the point of discovering what is currently available in the game, so not in a good position to suggest what might be added. I have yearned for a wider variety of steeds and pets than that available in the Halls of Justice.
On a perhaps related note...is it not odd that nobody in Highcastle proper will sell anything? Perhaps there are things there that used to be sold, and might be easily resurrected to add to your list of items?
If you find yourself short of inspiration, please say so and I'll start throwing out ideas...but I took your request to mean "if you really want something that's not available, tell me what it is" ....and I'm not in a position to provide.
Ah, but given the nature of the area (which I love!), how about some triad-themed (rather than just single-diety-themed) items? Let we borthers and sisters wear our comraderies on our sleeves (and chests, helms, etc.)
Thanks for working on this, and for asking!

Equipment featuring a "fused symbol of the three faiths" is in the works. What im really looking for though is the smybol of the orders of these paladins, searched and googled for awhile but not much luck. So tell me all you paladins of torm tyr and ilmater whats your order's symbol look like to you?
What about a pyramidal triangle pointing upwards?
I don't think any evil orders use it, and each point can represent an order combined as one serving each other.
just a thought.
Possible names:
Triadic Pyramid, Tripple Link etc.
note: I would also reccomend if anyone has the canon symbol to use that instead of this if possible

Wotc has an excellent page of deity symbols and pictures

I like Gwain's triangle concept... vaguely runic, which is where Tyr's symbol on here comes from - the Germanic runes of the real-world Tyr.

Actually, her symbol is traditionally downward facing trianglular red field with antlers, or talona's symbol of a downward facing triangle with three tears. I did make precedent to avoid that by establishing a pyramidal triangle facing upwards. However, I would welcome a canon symbol of the three orders, which you have stated. I was just making a sugestion of a symbol celebrating three and union, not a problem.Japcil wrote:An triangular holy symbol with antlers - Beshaba's symbol.

Ah i was unaware of the position of the triangle for the evil deities, even though my faiths book is right next to my arm i didnt bother to look it up.
Im debating of how the wording of such an item would go...
A trianglular symbol of the triad
Look would reveal:
You see a traingle with each corner having one symbol of the traid deities.
Obviously a rough draft of what it would be.

How about
It's an old Celtic symbol, details here:
http://irelandsown.net/triq-1.gif
It could be described as a "triquetra" or an "Odin Knot".

I thought the "World Triad" was an option there, but it would be hard to describe with brief text.

That is a wonderful symbol, both triangular and pyramidic and the name is short and adjustable, maybe even have a url attacked to the long description to show what it looks like in rl? Wonderful

Thanks, Gwain! I like the triangle, too, though...if we call it the "Triadic Pyramid," then it could be left to people's imagination as to exactly what it looks like. I visualized a triangle with Tyr, Ilmater, and Torm's symbols in the corners. On the other hand, if spelled out in the description, it would have the advantage of helping those not in the know understand what this Triad thing is all about! That is a wonderful symbol, both triangular and pyramidic and the name is short and adjustable, maybe even have a url attacked to the long description to show what it looks like in rl?
