Character Quotes
Another little fun topic I figured might fit. Every character once in a while says a good quote or something that just makes you crack up... or has their famous lines from books or stories or even movies...
What do you think is fitting character quotes you have for your own or others

"Patience is an old man that talks to rocks"
and so many made on the spot or made to work with Fk I can't remeber.
My favorite one and the one I consider represented a turning point in my rp came from Torm the True himself, it went like this:
"May you be patient as a mountain and sturdy as Toril"
that is my favorite quote and my moto for my char.

For Belose... heh... the best one ever will be the signature to my posts... see below.. hehehe
You want devices to do WHAT?
I edited this so you could see what the old one was, mainly because I've decided to change my signature and thought this post should remain for posterity.....

What the Mind of a man can conceive, the Will of a man can achieve.
Well, Siobhan started this so the credit goes entirely to her for actually using it on FK, but I also believe Danilo Thann uses it in the novel Elfsong.
"Merciful Milil" - A term often used when exhasperated with the situtation, common among followers of Milil, Poets, Bards, Musicians, and Free Agents.

A sapphire haired male aasimar replies to you 'What would you get Tanya for a wedding present?'
You reply to A sapphire haired male aasimar 'A swift kick to the head. '

Alright, for those of you who know Dominik, or of Dominik, this is going straight for humour, but the first quote I know I have to post is my signature. Go ahead, say what you will. On a more serious note, I think another quote I personally have enjoyed with Dominik (and I admit this is probably going to get him in more trouble at some point) is, "I've angered Gods, and yet you think I would ever fear you?" I do, however, try to use that one sparsely. He really, REALLY doesn't want to be six inches tall again.
The grand old celtic sentament is one of good humor and creativity with words that often apply more to themoment of pure chance than to deeper thoughts too confusing. This old quote, probably not used in many cases sums up a purpose in life, that though you can wield a blade, some things are more inspiring and refind than grated steel.
"Never give a sword to a man that can't dance"
Who ever came up with this was nae whistling a dry corn methinks

Character Quotes
If Hannarr had ever read Robert Heinlein, I think he would like this quote from _Time Enough for Love_ as much as I do:
"Never try to teach a pig to sing: it's a waste of time, and it annoys the pig."
- Mark/H

Character Quotes
I sopose I use this with a few other chars. but I like it alot, "Do not look back in anger, or forward in fear, but look around in awareness to what is now." I also happen to like this one, switching things around from "Tigers and , Lions and, Bears, Oh my.." to "Cites and,Crowds and,Sarcasum, Oh my.."

As a Lord of the Rings BOOK freak:
" 'In that case I am sure Gildor would have refused to explain it,' said Frodo sharply. 'And now leave me in peace for a bit! I don't want to answer a string of questions while I am eating. I want to think!'
'Good heavens!' said Pippin. 'At breakfast?' "-The Fellowship of the Ring, Chapter 4
Once again proving that hobbits (halflings) value food and meals.

Here's for you, Aegin; though from the movie *shudder* still a good hobbit mentality quote:
Aragorn: Gentlemen, we do not stop till nightfall.
Pippin: What about breakfast?
Aragorn: You've already had it.
Pippin: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?
Merry: I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip.
Pippin: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?
Merry: I wouldn't count on it.
Much better with the accents, but oh well
