Character Theme Songs or Theme music
Alcohol, my permanent accessory
Alcohol, a party-time necessity
Alcohol, alternative to feeling like yourself
O Alcohol, I still drink to your health
I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
Forget the cafe latte, screw the raspberry iced tea
A Malibu and Coke for you, a G&T for me
Alcohol, Your songs resolve like
my life never will
When someone else is picking up the bill
I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
O Alcohol, would you please forgive me?
For while I cannot love myself
I'll use something else
I thought that Alcohol was just for those with
nothing else to do
I thought that drinking just to get drunk
was a waste of precious booze
But now I know that there's a time
and there's a place where I can choose
To walk the fine line between
self-control and self-abuse
I love you more than I did the week before
I discovered alcohol
Would you please ignore that you
found me on the floor
Trying on your camisole?
O Alcohol, would you please forgive me?
For while I cannot love myself
I'll use something else.
Would you please forgive me

For Jaenoic, Don McLean's "Sister Fatima"... Or at least I'd like to think so.
The spirit of Fatima still rules the Earth
She knows your future, she knows what it's worth
Sister Fatima has God-given powers
And on 42nd Street a shop that sells flowers
Is her palace, come and be healed
She knows all your business, your health and your ills
She'll counsel your weddings, divorces and wills
For full restoration five dollars an hour
And with each consultation a free holy flower
And if she likes you, well you can have two
And I came from nowhere like you and your friend
My searching and wandering went on without end
My future was dim, my spirit was crushed
In one sacred moment my questions were hushed
I'm a servant of fate in this garden of truth
A humble recruit of the taffeta booth
Where all things are known but few are revealed
Where sins are forgotten and sickness is healed
For five dollars the flower is free
If you don't know Don McLean, think American Pie. Every one of his songs is gorgeous.

In my tradition, there's a new Nightwish song that fits Tandria PERFECTLY right now. That would be the Poet and the Pendulum, especially the chorus:
"Get away, run away fly away
Lead me astray to dreamer's hideaway
I cannot cry cause the shoulder cries more
I cannot die, I a whore for the cold world"
Don't read too much into that last line though. NOT what you think it is.
New one for Kokoro - Passion by Utada Hikaru.
New one for Jezebel after seeing Enchanted - That's How you Know from the Enchanted soundtrack. Or Happy Working Song. Shoes by Kelly also works.
One of my characters who I won't name at present would be perfect for the song "The Obsessive Devotion" by Epica.
Teeri's would be Buchstabe by Knorkator, because it's silly and fits her to a T.
Annnnd last but not least, Pepe's theme song is Hold my Beer by Aaron Pritchett, with Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy by Big and Rich as a close second.

Horace's is easy "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses...since Gargauth is almost an exact rip off of the garden of eden serpent, this song fits perfect.
--------------------
Kallias is more difficult because his story, so far, is so short compared to my other PC's. I have a few in mind but I think I'll wait til I see how it plays out.
Welcome to the jungle
We got fun 'n' games
We got everything you want
Honey we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease
Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want it you're gonna bleed
But it's the price you pay
And you're a very sexy girl
That's very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free
Then again, Gargauth may be a rip off of Axl RoseWelcome to the jungle
It gets worse here everyday
Ya learn ta live like an animal
In the jungle where we play
If you got a hunger for what you see
You'll take it eventually
You can have anything you want
But you better not take it from me

Listen up! People pay good money to see this movie! When they go out to a theater they want cold sodas, hot popcorn, and no monsters in the projection booth! Do I have to come up there myself? Do you think the Gremsters can stand up to the Hulkster?
While we are hitting the 80's with GNR, my character Vasfryn will have to be Skid Row's 'Youth Gone Wild'
Since I was born they couldn't hold me down
Another misfit kid, another burned-out town
Never played by the rules I never really cared
My nasty reputation takes me everywhere
I look and see it's not only me
So many others have stood where I stand
We are the young so raise your hands
They call us problem child
We spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile
We are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall
We're the one and one for all
The writing's on the wall
We are the youth gone wild
Boss screamin' in my ear about who I'm supposed to be
Getcha a 3-piece Wall Street smile and son you'll look just like me
I said "Hey man, there's something that you oughta know.
I tell ya Park Avenue leads to Skid Row."
I look and see it's not only me
We're standin' tall ain't never a doubt
We are the young, so shout it out
They call us problem child
We spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile
We are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall
We're the one and one for all

Feels like you made a mistake
You made somebody's heart break
But now I have to let you go
I have to let you go
You left a stain
On every one of my good days
But I am stronger than you know
I have to let you go
No one's ever turned you over
No one's tried
To ever let you down,
Beautiful girl
Bless your heart
I got a disease
Deep inside me
Makes me feel uneasy baby
I can't live without you
Tell me what I am supposed to do about it
Keep your distance from it
Don't pay no attention to me
I got a disease
Feels like you're making a mess
You're hell on wheels in a black dress
You drove me to the fire
And left me there to burn
Every little thing you do is tragic
All my life, oh was magic
Beautiful girl
I can't breathe
I think that I'm sick
But leave me be while my world is coming down on me
You taste like honey, honey
Tell me can I be your honey
Be, be strong
Keep telling myself it that won't take long till
I'm free of my disease
Yeah well free of my disease
Free of my disease
I'm pretty sure everyone would agree

After speaking to Isaldur out of character, I realized I stumbled upon Kallias' theme song. The song even progresses as I imagine the story of Kallias progressing.
"Carry on my Wayward Son" by Kansas
Then, of course, the chorus again...
Sorry for the length
Edited: I just realized plenty of you outside of America may have never heard this staple in american rock
One for you democrats - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e__PFknW ... re=related
And one for republicans and future demon hunters like myself - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFUFuGca ... re=related
"Carry on my Wayward Son" by Kansas
Early life (also the chorus, a reoccurring theme in his story since it all goes back to the day he had to leave) - leaving Chessenta and his family, I picture it as the night his dad told him he had to leave in the morning...obviously significant words to him, sort of a last wish from his father, thus the chorusCarry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Arriving in Waterdeep and partaking in the adventurer lifestyle, and after playing the hero for some time, realizing that it was all without any real purpose. The last lines leading to the chorus, which are the dreams that reminded him of the last wishes of his father and spurring him on to meet his life's purpose.Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say
I like to read this as a metaphor for where his service to Torm leads him, a passionate ride that he may often feel he has no control over...more of a destiny. The first few lines representing his own self doubts of his own purity and reason, always wondering if other paladins see themselves as undeserving compared to how outsiders picture them. The last lines "I set a course for winds of fortune" representing throughout his life that always seemed out of his own hands, he finally decides to embrace it and head fully toward his "fortune", or destiny. Again, the voices being what he hears as his father's last wishes, the core motivation for the character towards what he perceives as what he must do.Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say
I particularly like this last part for a paladin character. I always find the OOC hypocrisy of being a paladin so intensely enjoyable. The way so many paladin orders use the only potentially virtuous sin, pride, as a matter of edicts, to uphold good appearance to others, is simply /awesome/. I just picture Kallias finally meeting his destiny, and now that he no longer needs his father's words any more to face it, he has to convince himself to follow through with it. Not a hard task, relatively, for a paladin...since they take so much pride in their zealousness and borderline eagerness to prove themselves, when faced with potential injury or personal death. The last two lines, in my eyes, representing the perfect mixture of hypocrisy and righteousness that goes through a paladin's mind before he meets his death to end an evil.Carry on, you will always remember
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor
The center lights around your vanity
But surely heaven waits for you
Then, of course, the chorus again...
This time the words of his father are heard again, but while he's losing consciousness...telling him once again of the journey that he'll have to undertake and the people he'll need to leave behind.Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more

For my elf supremacist, Rennyn, it's got to be this. Those damn humans are going to get it, I tell ya!
Quality track: http://youtube.com/watch?v=eEWLZxSGvZwHadouken! - Declaration of War
I'm walking wounded on the ground
But I will stand here tall
Well I will stand here tall
Well if you want war with me
If you want war with me
If you want war with me, then bring on beef
If you want war with me
If you want war then you got war.
You try to rip me but I don't tear and I don't care
My skin is thick now, our love is lost since years before
This time I'm ready for your war
But now I'm ready for your war
I should have put this flame out years ago
but you burnt my house down, I won't go
and if I stand here alone in this dust I've got nothing left to lose
nothing left to lose
Cuz I see your ways and I know your plan
cuz you've been around and I've seen this place before
I won't do this anymore
but if you want war, you got war
So bring your friends out, I'll take my place and you take yours
i'll launch your guts out but will the others let us war?
I should have seen this years before
but now I'm ready for your war
I should have crossed these borders years ago
but you left me somewhere I don't know
and as I stand here in no-mans land
I contemplate your attack
Cuz I see your ways and I know your plan
cuz you've been around and I've seen this place before
I won't do this anymore
but if you want war, you got war
You can try and hurt me
I'll come back for more
What matters the most is how well you walk through the fire.
Re: Character Theme Songs or Theme music
I finally found a song that fit ONE of my characters.
For Akordia:
Holding on by Simple Plan (If you have never heard it go to youtube and listen to it. Lovely song)
"Holding On"
Once again i'm falling to my knees
(I try to escape cause i just can't take it)
Now this feeling is spreading like a disease
(I fake another day and the wheel keeps turning)
This place is so pathetic
Doesn't anybody get it
Is there anybody home?
Is there anybody home?
There's nothing left.
We're just a shadow of what we used to be
[chorus]
In the night there's a fire in my eyes
And this paradise has become a place we've come to cry.
When i open your letter the words makes it better it takes it all away whoaoh it keeps me holding
On whoaoh it keeps me holding on
Here we are preteding we're ok
(you can say what you want but you still can't fool me)
The life we're living
It's all masquerade
(i try to smile but i can't remember how)
So how did we get so jaded
Is it so complicated
To not give up to me?
[chorus]
In the night there's a fire in my eyes
And this paradise has become a place we've come to cry.
When i open your letter the words makes it better it takes it all away whoaoh it keeps me holding
On
[bridge]
Whenever i need you
Whenever i run to
I know where to find you
It keeps me holding on
Whenever i need you
Whenever i run to
I know where to find you
On
You keep me holding on
You keep me holding on whoaoh
[chorus]

Re: Character Theme Songs or Theme music
For Wally, at this point, it's definitely "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles.
