A new council is born!
A new council is born!
A new council has risen from the ashes of its ineffectual ancestor: The Roleplay Council is no more. A new council has arisen its place: The Story Council. It will be the job of this council to come up with, and help to run, multiple story lines across the Mud, of durations ranging from 2 RL hours to 2 RL years.
In the first iteration of this council, we will be inviting all active faith managers, plus a representative from each of the PC-run organisations to join the council as an apprentice. To accept this invitation, please send me a PM with a small story line you would like to happen for your faith or organisation. This story line will be reviewed by the staff and if approved, staff members will assist you in running the story.

Wow! I am so excited by this announcement! This could have a huge positive impact on the MUD. Really looking forward to seeing (and hopefully participating in) the plots the new council cooks up.

What a superb idea!
Re: A new council is born!
I agree wholeheartedly, I cannot wait to hopefully experience some of these storylines.

Re: A new council is born!
Hey, I was just wondering if everyone is represented yet. Most notably the Talos faith. I havn't seen much activity on recently and I think this is a great way to boost the rp. I really like the idea of a group dedicated to establishing long term rp.
I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.
Re: A new council is born!
It has been a bit since I was able to get on here but I like this idea. It gets the players more involved in rp ideas.
Re: A new council is born!
For these ideas, are timelines supposed to be drawn up?
For instance, the Fighter's Guild Champion was poisoned. The plot is far more involved than just he. Is there supposed to be a full script detailing specific amounts of time passing throughout portions of the RP or are they mostly just a play-as-it-goes type deal?
(Basically, my long-winded questions is asking for guidelines )

Re: A new council is born!
Now I by no means have much say in this, but this is my opinion. I feel that in regards to the script vs. free form question Selveem posed I think that would depend mostly on the nature of the rp and so on. Some are going to end up being more scripted than others.
Just had a thought.... a submitted rp suggestion should include opposition opportunities, except for the stuff like weddings and the like. I don't mean that every rp needs opposition but the more we can involve both sides of good and evil the better. But I say this at the same time, we don't have to give the opposition a chance to win, this is 'your rp'.

I would like to take a small moment to remind all FKers, regardless of how long you have played, that we are presently taking any and all roleplay suggestions. These suggestions could be something very simple, or something a bit more involved, but at the present time simple and to the point will be most useful for getting the ball rolling.
Think up a small storyline of something that you would like to see come to life on FK, and send it in PM form to Moloch, here on the forums. All suggestions and stories are welcome, but they should involve more than one person ideally, as this is a multi-user dungeon .
Thanks for the time, and happy writing!

Story lines to kill off rat-vermin PCs?
Just kidding.
I think I already submitted one, but I'll have to look through my PM history and see if it's still there. I think I sent it to Dalvyn.

Send more than one! Send as many as your puny little brain can handle (I jest). All are welcome.
