Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Well, it's been too long since the last debate, but better late than never, right?
Now that we know more details surrounding the election the debates can be more specific, too. It'll run basically the same as the first with questions asked of each of the candidates in order, probably three runs through, and then we'll open the floor up to questions for any of the candidates. I'd definitely like to get all four of the candidates that weren't able to make the last debate, Gwain, Isaldur, Lerytha, and Kallias. The other two candidates are welcome to come but questions for them will be held until the 'open floor' period at the end.
Okay, so that all being said, what times would best work for you four candidates?

Tuesday from 12pm GMT onwards.
Thursday from 12pm GMT onwards.
Then (argh!) it could be a week until my internet connection is re-established at university. Which'll give me a couple of days to complete my campaigning.
Odd debates during the odd day until Friday I can attend, but in order to guarantee my presence, it'll be one of those two days above.

Regretfully my work schedule is very awkward this month. I will be unavailable for any comittments before Sept 19th most likely, but if all goes well I will be working days starting the 22nd and able to attend anything done during weekdays after 7pm Eastern Daylight Time, or on weekends any time.
As I've told everyone else, don't plan around me. If I can make it I will, if I cannot due to RL reasons.. well I can't complain, even if it hurts his campaign.

Okay. Well, no other replies to this, so I'm going to just say Lerytha will be in the Square in 7 hours and twenty minutes, to answer questions. If any other candidates are there, yay! If not... well, I'm sure they can get out to answer questions anyway!
See you soon.

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
I think owing to the short notice, it didn't. Am going to let the other candidates take a lead in organising one, and I'll try and show up. My internet needs to be set up in university, which will take several days (unless university bureacracy messes it up). But if other candidates give a time, I'll look to try and make it.

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Sorry for the lateness of this; I was holding out for some of the other candidates but I guess we ought to go ahead with what we've got. Considering the circumstances Roderick and Takket's schedules are suddenly more relevant so I'd be interested to know if this time works for you guys, too! Right now I'm thinking that thursday or friday at around 7:30PM EDT might work. Any thoughts/confirmations?
Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Either time works for me with a slight preference towards the Friday one. I am sure Rod would be more entertaining at a debate on the first night of the weekend.
Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Friday would be better for me as I am staying hours late at work thursday night and would not get home till at least 9 or 10pm EDT.

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Thursday is better for me than Friday, as my table top group meets Friday evenings, but most of them play here too so I could probably get on for a bit Friday with their permission. It's looking like Friday is best for most people, so I would say go with that. I'll try to make it if I can.

I now have internet set up at university, so give me a heads up and I'll try and be there - societies, lectures, and other visits nonwithstanding, of course!

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Hey, sorry again for the lateness of this, and the short notice; I've been strangely busy the last few days. Anyways, we don't necessarily need to have one big, single event, we could always split it into two smaller ones. Off the top of my head, we could have Roderick and Isaldur on friday and Takket and Lerytha on thursday. Here are some world clocks with tentative debate times.

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
I just got the call last night that my sister and her husband are crashing at my place on Friday night so I will be unable to do it then. I can make the Thursday night one, though. Well, I can make it unless some other relative decides to call on only a few days notice to notify my wife and I they are invading our personal space. I love my family. Really. They can come visit any time. If you are reading this and your sarcasm meter is not pegged to the right, you need a new meter.
Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
If you want to swap Roderick and Lerytha around the days? Maybe? I have internet but can't seem to connect to the MUD. Unless its down, it may take me awhile to work out how to fix it?

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
If Isaldur ends up with no one to debate with he can always just do a Q&A session by himself on Friday for anyone interested.

Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
That sounds fine; considering there aren't *too* many of you guys anyways, I don't think it'll be a problem for you to show up either day, really, whichever is more convenient. If Isaldur doesn't mind being the last guy on friday he can take a double-grilling, and as long as every PC that wants it gets some attention for their candidacy RP, we've accomplished our goal
Re: Debate part 2! Now it's personal!
Terribly sorry about not making it last night. Something came up and obviously I was unable to attend. On the plus side, I should be able to make it tonight if that's alright.

I'll be there, unless there is a financial crisis in Waterdeep, wherein I will suspend my campaign for the good of the nation.

I feel it is best for the citizens of Waterdeep to see me at this debate and how I plan to deal with said financial crisis as an Open Lord. I will not put my campaign on hold to charge in at the last moment to try and pull fancy political maneuvers to get your votes. Unlike my opponent who will likely die in office, or at least become a Lich.Gwain wrote:I'll be there, unless there is a financial crisis in Waterdeep, wherein I will suspend my campaign for the good of the nation.
