[EVENT] Knighting ceremony for Kallias of Torm

Post by Kelemvor » Mon Dec 29, 2008 11:44 am

Be it known that Loyan Kallias Aentius, having proven himself upon the fields of battle and in the eyes of the Dutiful, shall be dubbed knight.

Those of his mentors and sponsors who will bear him up on that day are requested to present themselves to this office as soon as their Duty allows.

Sir Gandras of Torm
Knight of The Loyal Fury
OOC : I'd like to arrange and conduct this event as swiftly as possible so would like the interested parties (Kallias, Harroghty and Athon) to pick a date and time we can all match.

I am generally online between 9pm and 12 midnight GMT (For reference, this post was made around mid-day my time) though I can stretch that by an hour up until Jan 5th when I return to work.

In universal-clock-speak, that's
9PM GMT:

Midnight GMT:

Kelemvor: Weekdays only, or weekdays and weekends?

(Note: I'm just trying to help with communications for those parties critical to this event!)

Awesome, thanks Kelemvor. I work 24 hours on January 3rd, and I'm pretty certain I'm going tame on news year's eve - so I'm game any time Harroghty, Athon, and Jaenoic can make it that isn't on Saturday the 3rd.
Listen up! People pay good money to see this movie! When they go out to a theater they want cold sodas, hot popcorn, and no monsters in the projection booth! Do I have to come up there myself? Do you think the Gremsters can stand up to the Hulkster?

How about Sunday the 4th, at any time? I am free on that day.

The joust is that day. We could do it afterwards perhaps but it would be cutting it close. I recommend Monday if you all could make it.

I cannot make it Monday, I will be working all day. Tuesday in the evening, perhaps?

I've got no problem with that but Kelemvor's time window is narrow.

Considering Kelemvor's times, I can only make it on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I'm completely open on any of those days.

Sounds like Tuesday the 6th then.

4pm to 7pm eastern time for Drew and Dave

3pm to 6pm central for myself

1pm to 4pm pacific for Sean

9pm to 12am zulu for Kelemvor

Is the first hour an option for everyone? I imagine it'd take at least a half hour, after looking it over.

That should be
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... c=0&p1=159

It's now also on
http://www.rrts.us/fk/calendar/
if you prefer!

We'll need an IC location yet, and confirmation from everyone that this works well for them.

IC location would be the Citadel in Tantras

Thanks for the swift responses - I should delegate more often ;)

I'll aim to be up and running from the start time which should give us more time for the party afterwards.

*delegates* Could one of you make arrangements for that please :)

Sean, how do you feel about this taking the place of the pancake breakfast a la Kelemvor's suggestion? I will gladly arrange a little party action on the back end of the adoubement proper (that is gather food and hire a bard) with your go ahead. The only thing I would ask is if Kelemvor could drop one of those beverage fountains in the refectory in the Citadel at Tantras? (Again, if Sean agrees.)

The idea sounds great, Drew. Call forth members of the Holy Triad and those allies in good faith (Gwain, etc) to attend both Kallias's knighting ceremony and the pancake breakfast/celebration to follow!

Okay, for the ceremony at this time and date:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... c=0&p1=159

I want to verify that Athon, Jaenoic, and Melia can all be there and understand that they have a role in the actual adoubment ceremony.

Also: Get me your preferred e-mail if you need the latest copy of the ceremony script.

Oo, can we push that back by 30 min/an hour? I work until that time on Tuesday. Takes me about 20 min to get home.

It's cool with me, I don't do anything on the 6th.
