*Word reaches the farthest-reaching cities and villages of Faerun on the tongue of a number of bards and heralds*
Upon the next turning of seasons, an archery festival will be held upon the archery grounds within the western boundaries of Tethyr forest proper. Bouts of skills with the bow and crossbow will be held to test the might of ranged attack within the bounds of practice as an archer. All willing to test their strength with the bow will be invited to come and evaluate their might against those of the Wyld path, given they are within fair intent and hearts be free of ill-intent.
Rules will be as follows:
Any bow, crossbow, or thrown projectile will be allowed in conjuction with ammunition (arrows/bolts/darts) provided by the contestant themselves.
All welcome, but troublemakers will (let me repeat this: -will-) be dealt with in the utmost rangerly fashion.
Contestants will be required to tally and mark struck targets for the general populace attending said event.
Winners will be awarded with prizes.
Best of all, there is no cost for signing up for said event.
Following the archery competition, a gathering will be held within Tethyr to all those interested in attending. Food and drink will be provided courtesy of the Church of Mielikki.
(OOC: This event is short-notice, due mainly to the fact that my time will be sporadic starting next week, possibly. If this time does not work, post here, and we will work out a better time to help get as many folks involved as possible. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... in=0&sec=0)

"He served, but found no pride in service. He fought, but took no joy in victory. He drank, to drown his pain in a sea of wine... ...It was hate that drove him. Though he committed many sins, he never sought forgiveness."
Re: Archery Festival
Alright, due to the turnout of one person, albeit a fantastically skilled knight with the bow, I'll be rescheduling another event soon, when time permits and I have a better idea of what my work schedule will be.
Prizes were missed out on!
