Gathering of Tyr's Church

As it grows, and new members seek to learn more of the Church of Justice, a meeting of the Church of Justice shall soon take place - a chance for our members to re-unite, and for hopefuls and enquirers alike to learn more of us.

I'm working on a time that would accommodate most hopefuls, wherever in the globe they may be, as well as avoid conflicts with other events. Our FM is available US Sundays, with sufficient advance notice. Alfrid's squiring is of interest to those in the Church, so perhaps

If you wish to attend, particularly if you are a hopeful of Tyr, please reply and let me know if this works well for you, or if a different Sunday would be preferable (and if so, around what time).

I'm confirming this time with Maybel, but it should be the time we go with.

Are there any items for the agenda? (Things you want to bring up, that will require some advance planning on our part to deal with at that time?) Sorry, I'd like to ask this IC, but part of the reason for setting this up is that I have trouble finding many of the current Tyrans and hopefuls online.

Maybel has confirmed that this time will work well for her, so we are on. Here's the official announcement:

Gathering of the Church of Justice
Be it knowne to all hopefuls, questees, members, and allies of the Church of Justice that the faith shall be gathering in the Meeting Hall within the Halls of Justice in Waterdeep, on the morning following the turn of the new moon. Lawkeeper Maybel shall be in attendance, returned from her travels, for those who have been seeking her. The focus will be upon church matters, but any wishing to interact in an official capacity with the church are most welcome to attend. Should ye wish to attend, but find the main doors closed, please enter through the service entrance, to the west.

following the knighting of Alfrid of Ilmater. Because there is a lot of faithing and the like we hope to complete, we ask that anyone intent on disrupting events show up late in the time window, or watch and wait until official business has been discharged before yelling "Mask Rules, Tyr Sucks!" or doing something more refined with the same likely outcome. there are a few RPs that the faith in general could really pick up on to generally make it more enjoyable for Tyrrans and get some of them more active, for example the Blinding ceremony, this is meant to take place at the end of each month but i think we can bend that rule and talk about doing some of these rituals?

Yes, timing things to happen at the end of the in-game month is extremely challenging. So if we want to do something like this, we need not try to hit an in-game time. Do you have the details of this ceremony, Briek?

With Alfrid's knighting moving up two hours earlier, the possible time window for this expands a bit. For me, the sooner in the day it starts, the better, but I'm not so sure whether the same holds across the pond, or for others in the US. Maybel says an hour or two earlier would be fine with her. For the others hoping to attend, is an hour or two earlier,

both those times for me are fine, yes i do have some details about this ceremony. The Blinding is the end of the month high ritual in which we remember the event of Tyr's blinding (title says it all) it involves everyone wear veils or blindfolds around there eyes symbolic only so everyone can see and a sermon from several faith members. Thoughout the ceremony a illusion of teo bright eyes with flaming tears are seen. Basically it would involve everyone coming in putting on there blindfolds listening to a sermon and refreshments and general get together afterwards all in the sprit of Tyr

sound like a good idea?

Briek - If time permits, we'll give the Blinding a try. Excellent research! Getting people people's faithing sorted out will come first, though!

i agree, if we are going to do rituals like that i suggest we get a bit of time to get organised as to what the even't will include and if any imm assistance is required

I would really like to join the gathering as I have been waiting to meet Maybel, but unfortunately, the 15th is the day after valantines day and...... My GF has decided that I have "plans" that day.

Hail fellow brothers and sisters of the Triad!

It is time once more for another gathering of the church of the Lord of Justice, this is a chance for faith members to meet and enjoy each others company once more and for those interested to learn more of the church. Lawkeeper Maybel will be in attendance at this meeting so all those who have shown previous interest and wish to meet with her, you can do so at this gathering.

alright I am checking this time over with maybels character so obviously it is subject to change, I would also like to know if any faith members have any issues they would like to bring up at the meeting that might require a little thought/forward planning, even if you think they don't still tell me as it will give a good idea on the time frame for this meeting.
