Puking and Pregnancy
I write this in a thought after seeing two pregnant PC's puke within the last 10 minutes total of well..more than a person would eat in a day. I was just curious if it would be more easier on the pc and rping if the code only trigger puking echoes around 4am to 8 am. That way it simulates morning sickness rather than puking one-three times every 2 minutes or so.
I take only what I need and I need everything!

Re: Puking and Pregnancy
Morning sickness is just a term, it actually happens all day.
As for the frequency, the programs are set up on timers that run on %'s and I've been told puking is a 20%'er so those people are simply having bad luck. ;)

Beshaba potatoes.
Re: Puking and Pregnancy
Some people are lucky and never get bothered with morning sickness, some are only at certain times of the day and may not always be morning and others are sick all day everyday for only a couple of months while others are affected through out the entire pregnancy.
Re: Puking and Pregnancy
I personally believe the coded vomiting is annoying and only forces awkward roleplay for the pregnant PC. When someone throws up 6 times in front of you, you think head injury, not pregnancy.
I don't get what it adds to the game.

Re: Puking and Pregnancy
They're not really throwing up, They are more or less picking up a bag and heaving into it. Which does happen in certain terms of a pregnancy. This is worlds above the previous coding, which had pregnant player characters throwing up in the room and on people throughout the entire pregnancy simply because no one took the time to code a better system that takes into account the embarrassment of such a command. I do my best as a constant roleplayer and interactive person to play through this, or I ignore it. I do know though that for the most part, pregnant players in the game enjoy the current throwing up progs into containers than the previous progs. I won't say they all like it or all hate it because I don't represent them, but I will say that they seem to do an excellent job coping with it compared to the old pregnancy code. Well done.
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.
