I've come to the conclusion that, in general, I can't really play much if at all during the summer. In the fall, winter, and spring, I'm at school and have high-speed Internet, but at home I don't. It's too laggy to do much of anything, let alone roleplay.
So I guess my question is, is it a problem to play during the school year and then sort of "drop out of the picture" during the summer, coming back afterwards? If that's too disruptive for consistent roleplay, I understand, but I thought I would ask.

Re: Taking the summer off?
Of course not. We love to have all the players we can get, whenever we can get them. Don't even feel it necessary to explain absences at all.
Re: Taking the summer off?
No, it isn't a problem at all. It is courteous to try to wrap up any rp loose ends if possible and come up with some sort of IC reason for the absence, but it is in no way required.

Ditto. Forgotten Kingdoms is a game. It's supposed to be fun. If it is less fun sometimes, no one should fault you for taking a breather!

Life happens. Aim to wrap up any RP you have rolling, if you can, so folks are not left with cliff hanger situations and you should be fine. Quite a few of us wander off now and then, for whatever reason... I know I do, so don't worry about it.
