I've noticed in the last few days that mobiles that were previously not so difficult to best in combat with my character as they currently are equipped are suddenly becoming very hard to best. I am just wondering if any significant changes have been made recently to the monsters in the game that would make them difficult to face. What I've mostly noticed is that mobiles now get a fair amount of attacks at the beginning of a fight and succeed with most of them if not all as well as always show the potential of succeeding with their spells.
I don't mind it, but I am just wondering if any recent changes have come to fore, so that I might adjust my tactics and methods of play. Thank you.
Edit: I'm also concerned if its supposed to be this way or if it is the unforeseen result of another change.

Re: Recent Mobile Strength and Attack Success
I have also experienced this problem, especially with dragons. I think this in part stems from the same bug that has rendered a bunch of mobiles no longer rideable because they're now too small, that the unique mob settings may no longer be overriding the standard mob settings based on race/class/etc. Some mobs, especially dragons, may actually be much tougher as unmodified creatures due to the classes' ridiculous strength/number of attacks. There are mobs in the game that represent young or juvenile dragons or forms of dragons that aren't supposed to be that powerful, though I imagine the standard dragon with a strength of 60 and a huge number of functional natural weapon attacks is basically a monster now, no matter what the original coder intended.
Re: Recent Mobile Strength and Attack Success
This may be in direct relation to wyverns within the game which now seem to have a stunning amount of attacks. I won't go into detail here, but relatively speaking, my last fight with a wilderness mobile wyvern resembled a fight with a dragon (without spells)

It also seems to be hindering the progression of a few quests, for example myself and at least four others were completely decimated by the dragon involved in a quest in Faerdale, where as beforehand several can remember going with only two and being able to progress with relative ease compared to today.
Re: Recent Mobile Strength and Attack Success
For a few months now I have also noticed this. To be more specific, Mobiles seem to have a lot more attacks than I remember them having before and they land almost every hit. I see some misses from the very weak mobs like the road bandits, but the stronger ones like trolls, giants and up hardly miss with any of their attacks even when my AC is at Legendary. The damage is also very high, especially for the mobs that carry no weapons. Dragons never miss, and I have counted up to 15 attacks per round with insane damage. However, I really don't know what dragon stats are and perhaps they are supposed to get that many attacks and do such high damage, and now it just feels too much because I was used to their weaker version.
Anyway, I have just been wondering if the mobs are using the same to-hit mechanics that pc's are, or if a change to something might have had some kind unplanned alteration in their mechanics.

Re: Recent Mobile Strength and Attack Success
The most recent changes could not be more than a month long though, the other ones I believe stem from mobiles gaining natural abilities associated with specific races. I'm not sure though, but I just noticed very recently.

Re: Recent Mobile Strength and Attack Success
And here I thought I was just unfortunate with a recent wyvern encounter. I'm not unlucky, the wyverns are taking steroids!
