Mounted Rescue

Would it be possible to add a feat so that those mounted can perform a rescue. As a person who is often mounted, I have run into the problem of having to dismount, wait, rescue, and by that time the person I was trying to help is already down 30% or more health. This only happens to me when Im travelling but Im sure others have felt similiar when they use mounts.

I have run into this as well, perhaps it could just be added as a benefit of the mounted combat feat much as bash is allowed with the trample feat instead of creating a whole new feat?

I would enjoy it if it was part and parcel of the Mounted Combat feat. Perhaps that would be easier to code. Thinking about how it would work in real life, one would be positioning their mount between the combatant in defence of another being attacked. Only very experienced riders could do that and mounted combat would be for experienced riders in a combat situation, so I agree that it would be the best for the situation.

I agree, a mounted rider with the mounted combat feats and rescue skill should be able to rescue while mounted. Come on, how many movies have we seen the hero charge in on his mighty steed to rescue the damsel in distress??

Overlooking the various scenes in movies with ladies in distress, it still makes sense. Rescue is basically putting yourself in front of the rescued and taking the blows on yourself. Mounted and attempting rescue is not much of a stretch. I mean, if there is a person on a horse between you and your target, you most likely won't hit it. Altering the current recue skill (which I would think is the best way to go), or adding to the feats to allow mounted rescue is a good idea.
