Hi,
I noticed that druids get the spell heal animal companion.
I was thinking that "revive" for animals would also be a very good addition for druids, especially RP wise.

Re: Druid additions
By revive, are you referring to the spell called revive which restores stamina, or do you mean a raise dead spell? If the former, the spell revive works on animal companions as well as PCs. If you mean to suggest a raise dead spell for animal companions, then that is a good topic for discussion, I think!

Hi,
Well I was speaking of the revive spell, the spell that restores stamina. From the help help files, Druids dont appear to get the spell at all.

Druids do get refresh, which is the lesser version of revive.alerehin wrote:Hi,

Since the title is 'druid additions', I got one. Can magic fang and greater magic fang be updated to effect our conjured elementals? Not exactly sure if it does currently, but I don't think it does from my tests.

You do not need to change the world, merely leave it a little better than how you found it.

Re: Druid additions
It is my thinking that as druids live in the forest they would benefit from the revive spell greatly. Also, it seemed that being able to restore stamina to animals would be very druidic. I noticed the refresh spell is there but it is so weak that it would be of very little use if the druid was trying to restore the stamina of a tired animal, for example.
This reminds me of another area in question:
Can druids cast spells while shapeshifted? If not, I propose the feat/skill that allows them to.. i cant remember the proper name for it though.

Sorry, please do not take me mentioning refresh as disagreeing with you. I was just clarifying that we had a stamina spell.alerehin wrote:It is my thinking that as druids live in the forest they would benefit from the revive spell greatly. Most of the forms listed on the shapechange helpfile do not possess the body parts needed to cast spells, though the spell casting capabilities of elementals is debatable. Some even debate the use of certain skills, like meditate, in forms. So, no we should not cast spells in forms, at the moment. I could see a feat that allows spell usage in forms. I cannot see it being much different than still spell or silent spell feats. I wonder if it is doable code-wise since in forms we are coded as animals and animals aren't coded for casting.

You're thinking of Natural Spell.alerehin wrote:Can druids cast spells while shapeshifted? If not, I propose the feat/skill that allows them to.. i cant remember the proper name for it though.
SRD wrote:Natural Spell [General]
Prerequisites
Wis 13, wild shape ability.
Benefit
You can complete the verbal and somatic components of spells while in a wild shape. You substitute various noises and gestures for the normal verbal and somatic components of a spell.
You can also use any material components or focuses you possess, even if such items are melded within your current form. This feat does not permit the use of magic items while you are in a form that could not ordinarily use them, and you do not gain the ability to speak while in a wild shape.

Oh yes, that was it. Thanks:)
