First off, Aveine, this was a GREAT idea. I woke up at 4:00 am California time, and it seems that NO ONE is awake at this time. It is annoying getting anxious about going HOME. So this helped pass the time. Now, for my oddities. Skittles, M&Ms, and any other candy must be seperated by color, eaten by color, and must be in multiples of two. So, I eat the purples first, I can have 2, 4, 6 and so one. But never one or an odd number. When eating cereal, I must save the mashmallows for last! Blinkers!!! If you are driving a car, and you intend to turn, or change lanes, you better darn well use your blinker!! I get so mad about that, I seriously start yelling at people while I am driving. Ask Adoril, or Fendrel, they will both attest to this. If you are a bad driver, DON'T DRIVE! Speed limits are guidelines, they are a suggested speed, I tend to average 10-15 over the speed limit, unless trafic is doing that, in which case I will average 20 over. And if your exhaust sounds like crap, fix it! I am a mechanic at heart, so cars are a passion for me, which means most of my oddities revolve around drivin, or cars. But an annoying exhaust will make me nuts, I have at times tightened bolts on exhaust systems in parking los because I was about to go insane. And Briek, I am the same way. I am left handed, but I do everything else with my right side, soccer, baseball, racquet ball...except tennis. I serve with my right in tennis, but I play mostly with my left hand when returning. And cards, thay are supposed o be numerical from left to right, smallest on the left! You cannot have two red suits and two black suits next to each other, there must be red, black, red, black.

What about the people who ride down the road with their Blinker, indicator, turn signal, etc. on?
Those people drive me crazy.
A few more things I noticed about myself:
-When I drive..and I'm getting into a turning lane..I have to swerve really hard so I can get into the lane before the line starts. I don't like crossing the line.

-When I'm at a stoplight, I HAVE to sit with it in gear.(I have a standard) If I move it into neutral..I'll forget that it's in neutral..and freak out when my car won't go. (it's happened before, yes)

-If someone is riding behind me really close..I'll go slower just to piss them off.

-If you're walking down the road, I'll honk the horn at you. No matter who you are. I just love honking the horn at random people walking down the road.

That's it for now :)

He he he I had to chuckle when I read this Ariala! It is annoying to be behind someone like that :P We say they are driving around the world to the right.... or left... depending on which indicator is blinking XD it amuses me greatly... and makes it less annoying I think... >.>

Also... when passing under a yellow light, it is imperative that the driver touches the roof of the car. Perhaps this is more superstitious than a quirk but I am incredibly superstitious so... I guess that in and of itself is a "personality quirk"?

I have a book on luck that has literally made me quit / start doing a lot of things. I'm not going to list them... there's too damn many to mention. Ladies and gentlemen, do not pick up any books on luck. tyvm.

Oh, and I have to make a wish whenever I see a clock at 11:11.

My items in the task bar be it at home or work have to be always arranged in particular order, if somehow one of these items closes and the order is broken, I close all the items and open them again arranging all them as always should have been.

Actually, Mele, I hired a team of stealthy ninjas to follow you around and secretly dot all of your I's after you've left them.

Let's see, though, quirks. I haven't posted here yet but now seems like as good a time as any so here they are in a neat numbered list.

1) I'm extremely finnicky about my posts. In extreme instances I've actually edited some of my posts more than ten times to get them looking *just right*. In particular I don't like using unnecessary ','s and I really don't like using the same word more than once in a sentence or in two adjoining sentences unless there's a proper flow that excuses it (which is something I can't really evaluate except by reading through the sentence in my head and seeing how it connects to what I've written around it).
Addendum now that I'm nearly done: I also spent at least around thirty minutes getting this silly post to look the way I wanted it to.

2) I have a hard time working in a cluttered or messy environment. If my kitchen floor and prep tables are liberally coated with flour, grains, cornmeal, lard, shortening, or vegemite*, I find it hard to concentrate without cleaning up first, and the messier it gets the worse my ability to focus :o Even at home the same is true with scraps of paper around the computer and my ability to RP and plan stuff out on the MUD.
(Obligatory cleaning tip: If you sprinkle flour over spilled oil it'll form a kind of paste that you can just sweep up with a broom without any fuss!)

3) I tend to leave my bedroom a bit of a mess but I absolutely cannot abide clutter in the kitchen. In particular if someone spills something I'll glare at them until they clean it up (hey, it's a hazard!) :P

4) When I'm playing a video game I have a compulsion to check every corner of every dungeon looking for loot (though I don't necessarily pick it up if it's worthless). I have, on occassion, replayed large segments of a game because I realised I missed looking in some out-of-the-way corner for a useless trinket.

5) Biggest quirk, I guess! I have a terribly hard time picking between equally appealing ideas. Usually I'll end up making a list of pros and cons for each of them and labouring over it for a while until I eventually make a completely random choice :P

6) I'm a bit addicted to smilies. I started using too many of them and now I have this nagging feeling that I sound too dour when I try to drop them :P)

* Vegemite is the worst food product ever created; it's a yeast extract that was turned into a spreadable by some sort of madman, for bread and bagels and such. In truth I think it might actually be the prototype of some sort of whacky biological weapon Australia's working on.

I eat my eggs seperated. First the eggwhite, then the yolk. It's very important to always seperate them, there's a science in dividing them without hurting the yolk when it's liquid. I am also addicted to tea and books, both things I bring home in large quantities, I don't even have room for them anymore.

Cooking Tip #000! Yeah! In my experience older (lower grade) eggs tend to have thinner skins around the yolks and it makes them much harder to seperate. I think the best way to split the yolk from the white is to use as fresh an egg as you can and do it by hand.

Not a huge quirk, but three way switches. You know, where you can control a light off two different switches across the room (think switch at the bottom or top of the stairs). They have to be set into the off position (flipped down). Anything less is unacceptable!

Ok, after walking through San Diego I discovered another one! If I am walking on a side walk, or anything with cement, and cracks in it. I WILL skip step, or shuffle foot to ensure that I WILL step on every possible crack. I know, it is dumb.

People often comment on my snack food habbits. If its a small snack food, it has to be eaten in pairs: 2 chips, 2 cookies, 2 pretzels, 2 nuts ect. I have left bags with 1 chip/cookie still in them because it was an odd number. Anything with color gets even worse: Those 2 M&Ms/jolly ranchers/gummy bears must match: 2 blues, 2 reds, 2 yellows. Don't ask why, its the rules!
