I'm looking at it at work with I.E 8 right now and they don't work. The ones at the top work just fine though.

I can concur with Lirith's comment:

The 'board index' link at the bottom of the forum works with Firefox and my phone's browser. However, here at work, it does not work on IE 7.

I know it's been mentioned a few times by other people also, it's really, really painful for me to look at the forums and find new posts.

Can we please change the 'new post' color or the text color from that red to something different?

I'm with Mele on this one. On the PC it's not so horrible, but when I go to the laptop it's more of a challenge. Maybe a lime green or something would contrast greatly?

Yes,I understood the 'red' problem and I'm working on it.
I have been quite busy with rl work lately, and it's taking more time to work on forum layout than on the website in general.
Icons and colors should be updated soon.

New website 'Play' page

Post by Athon » Tue Aug 24, 2010 6:08 pm

I just noticed this happening now:

The Home/Play/Help/Community/Builders links at the top now seem to be pushed over to the left side of the screen for me. As a result, I can no longer click the 'home' button.

This is on IE 7. Not sure about Firefox - can test when I get home.

Seems it's only in IE7 (well at least not in firefox), and when you are in the forum, not when you are in the other website pages (at least for me)...
Added to my bug list...

Another trick from our beloved webmaster (Am I good enough to not sleep on the sofa tonight? )

Check under the builders menu, for our new FK exclusive text editing tool. This little tool can be quite useful if you do not master the hasardous color codes for description and such.

We're quite good at it, we have our own client, own text editing tool... In short, we're the best :)

Another issue with IE is that the drop down menus at bottom right don't work, such as those for jumping to a new forum, or moderator options.

added in my bug list.

I have a good idea of where the IE bugs comme from... just not yet of how to correct the bugs :p

I hope to have more time when I have given birth (next week or around) and I will work on that bug list :)

Is it possible to have the MUDconnect graphic button back at the top of the forum? I never go to the main page, just come straight to the forum, and I think a lot of people do the same. We've slipped quite far down the ranks and I think a large part of it will be due to people who are lazy/forgetful like me, and need to have the flashing rank number in our face to remind us to vote!

As a representative of the Secretive Guild of Folks Who Don't Play Anymore But Still Lurk Around All Secretive Like (SGFWDPABSLAASL for short) I would like to say the site upgrade looks fantastic! Very well done indeed.

Now back to lurking.

I'm liking the new design of the forums, even despite a paralyzing fear of change ;)

But, unfortunately, I've found another issue with it. Another player had a problem trying to register a new forum account in Internet Explorer. I tried opening my own Internet Explorer (I usually use Firefox) and saw the same issue. When it asks you to accept the terms of use for the forum, it will neither allow you to click agree or disagree. It worked perfectly in Firefox.
