The dwarf resistance bug reminded me...
The resistance helpfile still lists word values, rather than numbers, for descriptions:

Resistances and Damage Reduction
================================
Syntax: resistance
This command displays your character's resistances and damage reductions to
various types of attack. Different spells and different equipment can
affect your resistances and damage reductions. Mobiles can also have
resistances and damage reductions.
The resistance descriptors are as follows: normal, non-existent, abysmal,
poor, adequate, average, above average, good, very good, great, exceptional,
heroic, unparalleled, legendary, and immune (you take no damage whatsoever)
The types of damage to which one can be resistant are as follows:

Added a helpfile on "Combat Mechanics" and one on "Critical Hits," intended to introduce these concepts to the completely befuddled as well as clarify their implementation on FK.
Attempted to clarify the difference between resistances and damage reduction in the helpfile on that topic.
Feedback or additional suggestions appreciated (this is just a start, really).

Request: Could an addition to the 'trade focus' helpfile explain the effects of trade focus on mining and smelting? Its current form only covers crafting benefits. Thanks!

Help Faith levels has been updated to include more detail.
As a note to add for faith managers; "Initiate" has always been listed as a "junior" member of the faith, Acolyte being a full fledged member.
While questing players to that rank please keep this in mind; several of our faith managers are giving multiple quests to a member looking to reach the initiate rank.
Some suggestions for this:
-More than one small quest is fine, but when you're going to 3-6+ quests it might be a bit much.
-Gauge the level of your hopeful. If you send a hopeful lowbie across the map for a quest don't
send them right back out to do so again when they return. Travelling as a lowbie is rough, for those
of you with travel domains if you want to send them out to do so try to assign a partner to make it
easier!
-There is no problem with giving someone a small quest to get to initiate. Give them their symbol then
set them up on lessons within the faith and send them on more/multiple tasks to become an acolyte and
"full" member.
-You are the faith manager. Don't be pressured to move peoples ranks up - they should earn
it through activity and behavior!

Added a helpfile skimming the surface of the topic of magical armour, explaining that in FK magical armour also gets a 1 point improvement in the maximum DEX bonus it allows. [Edit: this was a bug, and is no longer true!]
Someone conversant with the different bonus types and how they do or do not stack could do me a big favour by adding to that file a stab at explaining that messy ball of wax!

Some weeks ago the helpfiles for applications and complaints were updated, as well as the HOWTO section.
Be sure to take a look at these and brush up on what goes where, as well as what you simply may not need to apply for any longer.

"Help Name", "Help Dwarven Names", and "Help Gnome Names" were updated. "Help Human Names", "Help Human Noble Names", "Help Human Wizard Names', "Help Human Priest Names", "Help Elf and Half-Elf Names", and "Help Halfling Names" were added.
