Hi there! Currently if you cast 'poison' on someone you get 'sonso feels the poisonous affects of your spell' or something similar to that. But say Briony wants to go on a rampage through one of the little towns holding and poisoning everyone.. If someone comes into that town later, nothing looks out of the ordinary there. What I would like to see is that the poison spell would affect your state of mind some how so that if affected you give off echoes that would lead people to think you might be poisoned. You walk in and maybe they give off an echo or maybe they don't 'sonso looks pale and their face is clammy' 'sonso turns and vomits nearby' or just 'sonso doesn't look very well'. Or even a little flag on the character when you look at them 'They look pretty sick'. Just something so that people walk in on a group of mobs, or PC's that have been poisoned they'll be able to take notice and respond appropriately. I don't think it should say 'hey i'm poisoned' because people probably wouldn't know right away that they are poisoned.. just something! Please!
Disclaimer: Not that Briony would ever intentionally poison another living being.

Re: Poison spell echoes
I'd like to second this - it would also be handy for PCs who are poisoned (though a good player will create these echoes for their fellows). Even forced vomiting seems in-bounds, as you can't stop yourself when your body really decides it is going to happen. (Do we still foist that upon the pregnant?)

Re: Poison spell echoes
I would add maybe adding echoes for those cursed as well, and if anyone could think of any other long term negative spell affects that might benefit evil roleplay to have echo? It might be fun to see those villages cursed or villagers poisoned, and it also gives all those noble souls something to fix.
While we are on the subject, poisoning food or cursing objects worn/held might be fun. You put on that nifty helm.. but now it wont come off? It would take some doing, but even being able to curse static food sources like trees and vines, so the fruit and such comes out bad, or poisoning the water source, so drinking from it makes you feel sick?

Follow your heart, yes.. but use your head, too. Take to every task with zeal and passion, but try to pair it with sage and discerning execution.
Re: Poison spell echoes
An interesting idea to have certain spell effects being visible, especially those that would logically have such results, like poison. Although even with real-world poisons their effects vary depending on what type of poison you come in contact with. Symptoms would have to be decided upon, or maybe could be some random one with each casting?
(And no, pregnant people don't forcibly vomit now, they just get echos saying they feel they need to, or something like that. At least this way the pregnant PC can rp it in a way that doesn't interrupt the roleplay of the moment.)

Re: Poison spell echoes
hmm poison atm doesnt affect a persons mental status like it used to I am unsure if this is on purpose, but it would be hand y yes. Instead of just the seeing faeries and what have you getting self echos for pc's that could rp there own out
and npc';s could get forced local echoes
and npc';s could get forced local echoes
I take only what I need and I need everything!

Re: Poison spell echoes
Just went on my first rampage since being back and realized no one will ever know *sniff* *sniff*. This is how the hearts of evils everywhere are broken. Would it be very hard just to add a little description onto the affected PC?
