Waterdeep Tailor

Post by Tyhan » Fri Jan 14, 2011 2:08 pm

I have played FK for about two years in those two years I have only seen the Waterdeep Tailor next to Bradigan's, offer to reapir items but she as never sold them, might we have some change to that so that she sells basic clothing, like exps.....
1.green tunic
2.green bustier
3. green skirt
4. green breeches
5. red tunic
I 'm sure you get the idea... So any thoughts?

I think we keep that tailor so busy with repairs they'd not have time to do anything else.

I'm not really sure something like that's necessary considering the amount of other vendors (both wandering and stationary), but it would be nice to be able to dye your plain equipment just so every character didn't have to look so "plain".

Perhaps all the wandering merchants could be given actual names and confined to a specific location [say, the ring around the market square (not the actual square itself)], to make things easier to find and use for newer players.

It's not the original topic but about the merchants...
It's not a big deal to me to have merchants wandering the whole city, but I would love them to be given names (in desc and keywords).

So when you search for a particular one, you don't have to check them all one by one, crossing some several times.
You can wander the street looking around to search for him.

Would be sooooo great!

I agree that the plainness and general lack of imagination in Waterdeep's merchants could do with a lick or two of paint. The idea of unique names is an especially good one - though the current merchant mobiles all share the same vnum, so this will mean creating a bunch more and setting them back up again with names to achieve the desired effect.

I might give it a go when I've got some spare time between projects, once I've worked out the possible repercussions.

It would be nice to see them as merchants from various other cities and nationalities or races, creating a more cosmopolitan feel to Waterdeep's trade.
Follow your heart, yes.. but use your head, too. Take to every task with zeal and passion, but try to pair it with sage and discerning execution.
