Invokers

In the help files it talks about invokers needing a high constitution. Does casting a large offensive spell have to pass a fortitude check to fire or does it just automatically hurt the wizard as he is casting? I ask because CON is the last thing I imagined a wizard would need.

That's an artifact from silly 2.0 stuff (like how wizard guilds have set opposing schools, except that hasn't changed to 3.0 [yet?]).

As I know it, there's no required constitution check anymore on the initiating guild master.
