Ok, spending a little bit of quality time with Kelemvor here and there are of course a few things you shouldn't be able to do while dead, but some of the commands you cannot use just don't make sense! I'm going to list a few here that I think should be able to be used while dead, feel free to add others. Not a really big issue, but when you are dead, you already don't have very much to do, and then when half of the command list is cut off from you.. GEEZE! Mele, you may not laugh at my first few on the list. I NEED them!

-Forum
-Approve list
-Areas
-Councils
-combatmode (alright, you aren't really fighting while dead, but maybe you died because you forgot to set your +empower or something so then when you are dead you remember to set it for the next time you are alive again!)
-any of the help editing commands (I have a lot of free time when dead! Perfect time to work on helps, but nooooo! I can't do that I'm dead!)

Those are just a few. I can go through the command list later. This has always irritated me a bit when I was dead and I just got motivated enough today to actually post something about it. Thank you!

As someone who has spent a countless number of hours in death's waiting room over the years, I fully support any command that can make the time go by a bit faster. Having your character singing '99 bottles of ale on the wall' can only get you so far.

I'll argue for this too, though the current situation is likely a result of fixing the countervailing problem, that of people training stuff up and the like while dead!

I'm moving this to bug reporting and will treat it as such.

Please post specific commands that do not work when dead that either ICly should work, and/or are OOC. So far I have (most of these are staff commands, but I'm interested in all):
FORUM
APPROVE
AREAS
COUNCILS
COMBATMODE
HEDIT
HSET

Please let me know of all others so I can file a comprehensive bug report!

Also, if there are any commands that work but should not, this is a great time to report them as well.

Something you can work on while...dead. Eeep!

I'd like to see dead characters be able to make description changes. If, for example, I have a massive hat that somehow covers all my remarkable features and is mentioned often in my description, I would like the opportunity to fix my description so it doesn't mention the hat I'm no longer wearing.

This can be done, and I think that's great - I've seen some great RP in the Fugue plane.

SLEEP doesn't make much sense to me, either, unless someone doesn't want to be contacted by Speak with Dead?
