Mana potion

Post by Eltsac » Sun May 01, 2011 5:51 pm

A small blue potion bottle of Weave regeneration (vnum i15409) is given as quest reward and sold in the temple of Mystra in Waterdeep.

It restores mana... which is of no more use with the spell memorization system.

Might be changed to some protective spell or whatever.

How about temporary mastery of the meditate command (thus only useful to newer players)?

I actually used one of these the other day, and it gave a couple of extra spell slots (I think maybe one level 1 and one level 2). I think that's useful for a temporary boost, but meditate might be a good idea too. Would that also apply if the player doesn't even know meditate?

That'd be my thought...thus it would be of most use to beginning PCs, and grow gradually less so with time.

Well the idea is good for me :)

Will just need to be low cost enough for it to be of any use at low level :)
(I can't remember the current price)

Considering the amount of time it takes to regenerate spells, (especially at a lower level,) I'd say if it did give a skill increase it'd have to last for quite some time because otherwise you'd not really get a benefit from it.

It's a good idea, though. Especially if they're very inexpensive as lowbies wouldn't have much coin.

Changed this.
