The Glitterdust spell requires three components to use, which seems a bit odd, but not as odd as its first component. It requires a holy symbol.
The spell is strictly an arcane spell, completely unavailable to divine casters, so I can't figure out any reason why it should require some show of divine favor in order to cast it. I think it's a mistake.

Re: Glitterdust Components
Agreed, and changed. However, it now looks like components are hardly getting consumed at all, at least for this spell, so I won't close this bug report until I get that figured out. Thanks for reporting this!
Re: Glitterdust Components
The man upstairs changed the rate of consumption for all components relatively recently.

Re: Glitterdust Components
Yeah, but I was able to cast this 28 times before losing the component that used to only last for one casting. (The component that used to last for three castings lasted 59.) I think there is now a % chance to damage a component when you cast, but I think it is a bit too low - 10 castings seems more reasonable, so tripling the risk of component damage?
Casters, speak up if I'm off the mark here...but even 10 is a lot of castings for a single-use component, no?
