Drow resisting own healing spell(s)

Hiya! I've got a low level drow priestess - I should probably say cleric since I ain't done my faith quest(s) yet - and she's actually resisting the effects of her own healing spell that's targetted on herself.

approx 20:00 hours EST:

<54%hp 100m 75%mv>
cast 'cure light' self
You begin to chant.

You resist the effects of your spell.

Is this a bug, or simply a drawback to drow-ness?

This is a drawback of a drow's natural resistance. However, you can prevent it by using the "lower" command which will temporarily lower your natural resistance. Obviously this means your resistance to all spells is lowered so timing the use of it would be advisable!
