Not sure if this been posted or not but used the spell today and others were able to see the magical sensor. So I tested with one with no dection spells on and was still seen

Confirmed - the sensor is neither hidden nor invisible, and it should be (perhaps even both?).

This may actually be a (hard-code originated) bug who's fix lies in area code - looking into it.
