Bladesingers guarding the elven temple in SIlverymoon

Bladesingers guarding the elven temple in SIlverymoon

I noticed that the bladesingers guarding the door, are wearing heavy armor. Shouldn't they be wearing light armor, since heavy armor would interfere greatly with their arcane spellcasting? Or have they not been given arcane spells on here?
