I don't know how important this is but I figure this one would be quite convenient given how difficult it is to combine wearing a cloak, large weapon harness, a tabard, quiver, or other items that occupy the same slot but could logically be worn together.
ex:
<worn across> A large weapon harness bearing a greatsword
<worn on body> A tabard of Waterdeep
<worn on body> A gleaming suit of scales
ex2:
<worn across> A leather bow holster
<worn on body> a leather quiver full of arrows
<worn on body> a suit of studded leather armor
Not sure if this would be a pain in the butt or if it would wreck the game mechanics. I know we already have a ton of other wearlocs but I'm just throwing this one out there.

I'll second this, with the game-balance-friendly suggestion that the wearlocs might be more restrictive. Players might still only see "<worn on body>" for all three or four slots, but wear permissions might be organized by:
<cloth under armour>
<armour>
<cloth over armour>
<worn on back>
Wearing my backpack is posing a problem, as I suffer from bad chafing with no shirt under my armour.

I can't seem to find the original thread now, but a groggy memory stirs of this very topic having been raised some time ago (I'm not rebuking you for not searching the forum before asking. As I say, I can't even find it now!).
Honestly - it's a great idea. I think the original notion was to add a 'back' slot for backpacks/harnesses so surcoats/cloaks could be worn at the same time - but it was later revealed that the way the game engine is constructed means that there is a hard limit to the amount of wear locations physically possible on a character, and that adding another would involve removing an existing one to balance it out. Such as ears, for example?
Mask would probably be a better chap to give final clarification.
