Problem Connecting Through Mudlet

Post by Ediana » Fri Feb 24, 2012 8:19 pm

Whenever I try to connect through Mudlet, I get this just before being disconnected:

Code: Select all

HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii
Server: Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0
Date: Fri, 24 Feb 2012 20:15:13 GMT
Connection: close
Content-Length: 326

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN""http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Bad Request</TITLE>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" Content="text/html; charset=us-ascii"></HEAD>
<BODY><h2>Bad Request - Invalid Verb</h2>
<hr><p>HTTP Error 400. The request verb is invalid.</p>
</BODY></HTML>
It doesn't even reach the welcome screen. It's just that. I strongly suspect it has something to do with the UI that seems built in to the flash client (which works fine in the flash client), since it is also glitchy in MUSHclient, though it works. I'm curious if it is fixable on my end?

Er... why did it post here? I was in the bug forum at the time...

I moved it to this forum because the Bug Reporting forum is intended only for if you were to "find a bug, typo, or error in the game's hard code, area code, helpfiles, or website". Perhaps some other player has used that client and is able to comment. Failing that, this is the kind of thing that Mask (the game's host) would have to explain.
"A man may die yet still endure if his work enters the greater work, for time is carried upon a current of forgotten deeds, and events of great moment are but the culmination of a single carefully placed thought." - Chime of Eons

Ahh, gotcha. I also tried it in Wintin.Net and got the same outcome.

Connecting to forgottenkingdoms.org or www.forgottenkingdoms.org? I think it'll make a difference.

Silly me, I was connecting to forgottenrealms.org. Everything works fine now. It's still kind of buggy, though, with that UI; every time I try to type something, it spams itself with numbers that I'm guessing are my hit points and such.

are you using the mapper?

You might want to disable your mapper.
Anthalas Woodshadow - Repentant Ranger
Malagond Udreusil - Paladin Squire of Kelemvor
Cui'snart - Dual-wielding monster processor

Nevermind, I got it. It was the VT100 doing it. I've got it all sorted out now. Note to self: HELP VT is a great thing.
