Female Drow

Hello, i am planning on making a drow here in the coming weeks and have been doing some reading on such. I have noticed in several places that drow females are not allowed into the Sorcere. I was thinking of playing a necromancer, is this possible or would it prove a incredibly difficult task(i am basically wondering if i would even be able to train wizardly skills,spells,feats etc in Mezzo.)? I don't really have an issue playing a priestess of Lloth, but it would not be my preferred choice. Is a drow female wizard something that requires an application? I noticed in a few help files where it mentions female wizards are rare, and others that say they arn't allowed.

Just looking for some clarification, and any pointers and what not.

I dont believe one is, but even if not, you might consider apping for House Shobalar, it is renowned in Menzobaranzan for its many female wizards.

An App is really needed for this as you will need help getting round the training in Sorcere. However once that is done you should be fine.
