It asks you this every time, I would like to suggest making it a qbit like with the Underdark entrances, so that it remembers. It also might be nice if this room were changed in type to outside, so that you could 'fly' down as is logical rather than just falling, since being an underground room does not allow for flight. Just some thoughts.Steamfall Pass
S-Illithid Way D-A large hole
The ledges and ceiling stalactites of this pass are covered with ash. Muddy
droplets fall to the ground from the condensation causing you to have to dodge
so you are not hit. The floor is muddy, and at times your feet make a sound
being picked up out of the mud. There is a large hole down from here that it
is hard to see the bottom of. A wooden sign next to the hole reads: "Danger!
It is easy to go down there, but there is no way to climb or fly back up!".
The sign says it is dangerous to go down there.
Are you sure you want to go in that direction?
OOC: If you are sure, then type 'iamsure' before going down
Alright... you can now bypass the warning and climb down.

Improving an entrance?
I was in this area recently, and a few things struck me as if not problematic, then inconsistent.

Okay. I took a look at this room (21075 in lowerskullport.are). I can make some modifications here, but does anyone else have input here before I arbitrarily change this based upon one person's recommendation?

I would be careful here, it is effectivley a one way exit into the undermountain lower levels. The only way back is via a really tough route. you really do not want anyone going down here by mistake, and i think it deserves the repeated warnings due to its one way nature.

Re: Improving an entrance?
Hmmm. That is a valid point. Though, the same argument could be made for the Underdark entrances, being in a similar vein. Should the question then be one of a more explicit warming message? In red text perhaps, like with the warning at the top entrance to this place, it could warn every time, but like the Underdark entrances once you are sure (typed iamsure) it remembers and does not prompt again to re-enter it every time?

Re: Improving an entrance?
I've always wondered why the area has to be one direction? Is there a corresponding area in cannon sources?
Justice is not neccesarily honourable, it is a tolerable business, in essence you tolerate honour until it impedes justice, then you do what is right.

Not to be too specific, but I imagine for reasons of 'earning' your way into the city from down there. If it went both ways, a 'free' exit would allow you to skip a lot. Though considering how cohesive these areas are these days, can be it be both ways now?

Re: Improving an entrance?
Undermoutain has a lot of quests which in some cases have prereqs higher up the caves, and i am not sure that starting at the bottom and working up is going to work right. If the exit were two way i can see people using it as a shortcut out of Undermoutain rather than the 'proper' exit from UM to skullport as it would be significantly easier.

I am going to modify this so that it allows you to fly safely to the bottom. I am not going to change the warning though.
