Sand is what makes glass too, right? Well, for items and such for using the trade, it could go kind of like this:

- A pile of sand
- A glassblower? (I dunno what those things are called! :P)
- A hot forge

First you'd have to heat up the sand and work it into glass. Then you'd have "a lump of glass" or whatnot. One lump could make small things, such as flasks/jars/glass jewelry-things. Two or three lumps could make containers, or pretty sculptures or something like that (containers being like vases or big jars or something along those lines).

Different coloured sand for different coloured glass could be implemented. E.g.:

A pile of pink sand gets melted and becomes a lump of pink glass. A pile of yellow sand gets melted and becomes a lump of yellow glass. Use the two to create
a yellow and pink glass jar
which can now hold some small objects within.

Or something like that. Just my thoughts. :)
